Add a slashing restriction "level" that prevents slashing crit and stunned humans.

One thing that I see quite often, when fighting survivors, is a survivor will get tackled, or put into crit, and then some lurker or something will keep slashing it until they die.

I would like it so the queen could decree that you’re not allowed to slash humans that are stunned or in crit.

we used to have that actually. New and griefing queens kept it on and it got people killed because they couldnt slash hosts when their life was on the line, EVERYONE else turned it off

With how kinda wonky the health system is, a crit person could still be alive enough to walk and fight back, this also goes the other direction where someone not yet in crit taking a single slash puting them under the threshold and then dying to getting hauled.

Unfortunetly there just isnt a plain good way to deal with this, at the end of the day its a team game and you win or loose some, shit happens and new players fuck up sometimes, or someone makes a mistake because abilities also interact with intent choice sometimes.

There are some counterplay options available, if theres many xenos swarming around a cap its usually better to just leave them since you would just end up in the way, leads can fully knock down new/bald players and stun them away from say a drone or runner hauling a cap, id also suggest mapping a macro for something like “dont” or “ive got it” etc. to throw out if you get swarmed when you know you have it under control.

But yeah, CM just be like that, sometimes you get naded at the front by PFC #15839 who just walked out of cryo for the first time, doesnt know how to throw a nade and get capped for it :man_shrugging:

True words.

honestly you could mitigate this problem by giving leaders a targeted version of this power: spare capture, place a mark on a human and they can’t be slashed once at half health or below for 10-15 seconds. could also give it to carriers too.

I distinctly recall a PR fixing it so players dropped to crit the moment they actually hit 0 HP and it was removed almost immediately. I don’t think the PR even lasted 2 days.
