(This is not a joke everything I said is true and I’m really confused.)
I play CM semi regularly and go by the name james “evil” Bushman. Recently something odd has been happening. People have begun recgonizing me in game and makeing the same jokes like more then a single person is in on it. Like how my spelling errors make me sound drunk. People go oh hi james over the intercomms when they find out im here.
Up until a few days ago this never happned. Like the only people who ever did this before were like 4 people. It was a ganeuine shock before when a person would do this. Now I got people I don’t even know going up to me and talking to me in LOOC that they talk to me all the time.
Did I do something to earn a reputation now. Was it cause of the weedkiller nuke. Has speedster been talking about me agian. This is not a joke what is happening.
it’s mostly how you talk, your announcements are memorable because of the poor grammar, also I remember the round you ob’d the fob but admin intervened
I have started to play XO recently. Is it really jsut cause of my bad grammer.
Been playing for over a year so you can understand my confusing. I was a shock when tyrone of all people noticed me as the flash powder guy the first time it happned.
Now that I mention it has anyone seen tyrone around. It’s been a while since I have seen him in game.
You tend to get a lot more name recognition if you do stuff that’s remarkable or a break from the norm, so, given you tend to do a lot of stuff as Bushman that’s on the unusual side, the name gets around.
I struggle to recall specific incidents in detail but I definitely recognize the Bushman name as one that makes me go “oh, there’s that guy, wonder what he’s up to this time”, especially if I’m playing a shipside role and have an excuse to get myself involved in whatever scheming, plotting and miscellaneous mischief is occuring. And the grammar too, but there’s a lot of people with that.
I definitely haven’t had to brig Tyrone in a while now that you say it.
But i mean yeah whoever plays semiregularly and talks a bit and isnt literally an npc will get recognized. this isnt a very big game so dont be that confused
Yeah I recognise everyone’s names if they play enough on my TZ and talk in chat.
I may not really know them if we don’t interact, but I’ll at least recognise them.
It’s a small community, only about 1000 active players. It’s expected that you’ll recognise everyone who plays eventually. (Though if you play exclusively lowpop, obviously you won;t recognise anyone who plays exclusively highpop, and vice versa)
