πThere is something far more powerful than those so called “OBs”, something, that is so precise it can insta gib anything…
why do marines use those big ass rockets if you can just use the crates and drop them off at the enemies? i think they insta gib marines so xenos would die too guys why guys

Why you should use supply crates instead of OB:
1.Precision
2.Quick reloading(depending on req mood)
3.No bullshittery, just a straight,precise instant death upon impact, just like god intended
Edit: The fact that crates sent from req can shake the ground but not OBS shows the strength

Tell the QM to use Pizza crates as ammunition to stunlock any nearby xenos if the crate misses.

If marines are about to be overwhelmed why does command always say “uhhhh…I dunno guys uhhh…. retreat?” Instead of just OBing the front?

Pros:
Denies caps
Kills any xenos nearby
Gives the marines a morale boost as they’re about to be sent out with a bang
Insane Aura gain if it’s HE and everyone just gets gibbed

Cons:
Minus 1 OB shell

Do the math CIC.

Non ironically there was a round recently that i as QM killed a ravager on a FOB drop (they were gibbed), it is truly the strongest weapon.

I’d argue that reducing the Almayer’s mass by one OB shell is a good thing, actually. So no cons.

There is a small, yet crucial difference between OBing the front, and OBing ahead of the front

On that topic, anegdote - One time i was a Staff Officer, and we have fired an OB on Lambda that round, using the Bravo console - but well, we wiped after, and pulled back to FOB, preparing for evac

I called an FTL for OB coords on the landing pad corner of the FOB, to maximize damage once we fire it after evac, i save it in bravo console

Then the XO walks up to the console and fires, thinking its still zeroed to Lambda
Both Pilots of the Alamo get gibbed, and marines wiped, oorah
Moral of the story… announce when you OB, and check coordinates
(It was a new XO to be fair, below 10 hours)
