Description of the incident:

I was following an MP (William crimson) carrying an arrested Delta HM, While following him i wanted to check my magazine/reload, When i went to shift+click the magazine i was instantly fired upon by the MP with a disabler and knocked out., i then walked to brig to ask him why he had done that when i didnt do anything wrong, I then heard somone suecided in brig so that changed my priority, i asked to be let in but wasnt, then kenneth lance came out and tried to zipcuff me without telling me i was under arrest, after i was peppersprayed and thrown into a chair, i was told my charges of inteferance…? (clearly set by william crimson)
Luckily for me hijack happend right then and there and they proceeded to carry me to pods… even tho i didnt get charged, was non-violent, and didnt do anything illegal…
This just felt very griefy to me.
I ahelped about this but was never answerd.

So, during an arrest which was after evacuation and with prior talks of mutiny and general unrest against the CO, You chased me up a set of ladders, towards the brig and proceeded, within a chase, to take out your primary weapon in to your hand, and then a few moments later, decided to take out the magazine and put in a fresh one.

You were tazed down, i quickly sent out for help with a code “11-99”, showing how urgent the situation was. I ran to the brig and began processing the prisoner and mentioned on comms your name and the situation.

Youre brought in, I tell Kenneth something like you were the one who pulled out a gun chasing me. I finish processing the other prisoner.

Hijack occurs, two marines who were present during first arrest are outside the brig, it appears clear that theyre tryint to get their buddy released, CO orders us to evacuate the prisoners via pod, so Kenneth and I managed to get passed the two marines at brig, (without anything fired as they didnt pull out a weapon, might I add) and we evacuate the prisoners along with a cripped nurse we found.

If you think chasing an MP up a level of the ship and down 1/4th of the ship as they transport a prisoner and suddenly taking your weapon out and then appearing to load it, isnt normal behaviour, then theres not much more i can say.

Theres a difference between merely following someone and"following someone" and then pulling out a lethal weapon and loading/reloading a magazine (which you dont even need to do to check ammo), during an elevated alert level and talks of mutiny…to then continuing to follow and trying to get in the brig.

Imagine unholstering a weapon and loading it infront of a cop after you just followed him for arresting your buddy. It wouldnt end well.

So, just like law, it goes to beyond a reasonable doubt.

Prisoners armedguard/evac/release status was left to the CO, who made the judgement call, Not MPs.

I dont beliege I saw you at the scene when he was tazered, so unless youre refering to Kenneth as the arresting officer after I managed to get away to the brig.

I was the CO that round, and Solidfury is right, the decision to evacuate all prisoners was mine.

Edit: For more context, there was calls for mutiny and riot because of first arrested medic, and before that for attempted arrest of original delta SL, so the entire ship was on a heightened alert.

I was in the brig updating security records when William Crimson called in a 11-99, requesting immediate assistance. He informed me that Grant Thomas was chasing him while armed during an arrest. Considering the potential threat to both Sergeant Crimson and the overall security of the ship, I promptly intervened to arrest Thomas. Just as I left the brig processing room, I found Thomas in the lobby. Given the imminent danger he posed and the need to prevent any further escalation, I made the decision to act swiftly and decisively to neutralize a potential (armed) threat. Then, I brought him to the processing room for arrest processing.

During processing, I assumed the charge would be major interference. I was going to ask Crimson but then the xenomorphs hijacked the dropship and the CO ordered us to evacuate the prisoners. Two marines attempted to block my way and prevent Thomas’ evacuation and I had to neutralise one using pepperspray. I believe that my actions were entirely justified and necessary given the circumstances at hand.

It is important to note that the incident occurred during a period of heightened tension and unrest among the marines, with talks of mutiny and general dissatisfaction towards the Commanding Officer.

Most of what you said here fits what happend, however following somone while armed is not major interference nor any crime at all, the excuse of a marine being armed is not a good enough reason to arrest them either, as they are all armed. you never acted in any form of switfness, you stood there staring at me for a good 5 seconds giving you ample time to inform me of my arresting charges.

the fact that you didnt have a charge to press me on when you arrested me is very surprising to hear, and im unsure on why the CO would order you to pod the PRISONERS as he has no context of what happend, i dont remember being charged so im unsure why im counted on as a prisoner.
You also just peppersprayed (1?) delta members when leaving brig, they just stood there looking unsure why you sprayed them.

Sure a mutiny was in the talks, no mutineer will willingly walk to brig and try to heal a prisoner.

i pulled out the magazine to check it and reload it, i have to pull it out to reload anyways so why not check it, there is no differance in that, this is also not a reason to taze somone.

You are working around armed people 24/7, you are working on a MILITARY ship, you are a memeber of the MILITARY police, you follow the MARINE law, you dont go tazing marines just because they have a weapon or gun out following or not following you, doesnt matter if its red or green alert level, and the mutiny was never announced.

What you said at brig was also somewhat strange to hear, “you should be glad i didnt blow your brains out”.

Context matters. The fact that you are saying, that the fact the alert level does not matter, nor the fact that a mutiny had been offically announced (but mentioned and threatened, which, itself is sedition) is actually painful to the soul.

This is a dynamic medium roleplay server, you did something goofy and, if Im quite honest, baity as fuck at best…during what was an assembling mutiny and while we are outside the cic, which shows why i mentioned you were fortunate to not be pacified lethally.

You did multiple actions which beyond a reasonable doubt were beyond mere coincidences, and I have a duty to those under my care.

Im going to leave it at that now as i think we disagree on many things.

Just because there was talks of a mutiny is not ample reason to think every marine around you is a psycho murderer that wants your head on a platter, even if they have a gun out.

dont think i ever heard anything about an assembly of people outside CIC untill now, Id love to see that once logs are pulled, there was also no way for me to know this as i was in medical untill you arrested the delta HM.

I was never a danger to those under your care, if i shot you or wielded my weapon (both hands) or said something hostile i could see this as acceptable action but it never came to that.

I do agree that i disagree with some things, mainly because i was annoyed at this as a whole… getting effectively round removed because of a preferance is kinda sad.

Having reviewed the logs posted I have three conclusions.

  1. Solidfury7 was within rights to non-lethally subdue you due to the risk posed by you drawing and loading a firearm while running after him during an arrest and there having been discussions of mutiny.
  2. While the above is true, it does not constitute a crime without actively attempting to interfere - that being disrupting the arrest or otherwise attempting to free the detainee.
  3. Regardless of above, Economicairborne failed to adhere to Arrest Procedures by not informing you of your impending arrest prior to taking action, and further for non-lethally subduing you without clear intent to resist or evade arrest.

Therefore;

  • Solidfury7 will receive no punishments or consequences due to this report.
  • Economicairborn will receive a note tying to this report and a warning for Failure to follow Arrest Procedure as an MP.
