While true, Xenos can just be pat out if they get hit at the border of it, and by the time the fire goes out they’ll be back to 100% HP.
White flame does so much damage that except in the instance of a spitter or a T3 with acid spray was immediately on hand to douse them in acid, anything besides a T3 will die basically on impact.
Boilers take extra fire damage and are for sure toast. I’ve seen plenty of T3s die before making it to the edge if they were more than a tile or two from the edge.
Bonus points for the ever popular ‘caught on a window frame hidden in the flames.’
After the recent change to OBs where being close to them actually knocks you down, HE is even worse against xenos - it automatically knocks xenos down and they take half damage from the blast waves. I’ve seen several instances of xenos surviving HE OBs now because of this.
Of course, humans with their pain and lower health pool are mostly unaffected by this and still die to the blast waves.

Today I saw a crusher survive an incind OB by hopping out after it dropped directly ontop of it. I dunno about you but that was whack for me
I mean. Of all the castes, I’d expect the crusher to survive.

There was one that Kyle Sabitix fired inside research on Shivas that just decimated the entirety of the marine force and led to a massive xeno comeback, it landed 50% on top of the medics and 50% completely behind them so they couldn’t escape. A true white christmas. Marines roasting on an open fire.

Incid ob is good but gives xeno plenty of time to make new defences before fire is out, if you are backliner warrior/runner it is fun to yeet marines on it as runner or fling marines in it. You kill non of the three ravs that are dancing in it.As xeno this is my favorite ob.
HE ob has a way to give you a baby ob, and overall does little because of that. Most of the HE i have seen just go between walls and hit a area of 5-7 tiles one way.
Cluster ob with a marine push right after can really change the round, it ignore walls/caves and always does the area damage. It can’t fail.
When you buy HE/incid roundstart you never know where it will be used, i feel its to risky that it become useless and xeno the win
