Should be removed if itâs not in the game so I have fewer useless objects to scroll past or accidentally click on when making a 10x24mm ammo box.
Or maybe have dynamic ammo boxes that become an ammo box type when you put that ammo in it, and revert back to dynamic when thereâs no ammo in it, so you only ever have 1 ammo box to choose from and itâs simply whether or not you put in shotgun rounds or 10x20mm or 10x24mm that says what kind of ammo box.
I fucking wish.
Thereâs like one million types of boxes to scroll through whenever you use cardboard, I feel like this would be so much more elegant and simple.

My favorite part about brute is that the reflective walls donât reflect it even though the wiki describes a resin reflective wall as: âWeird hardened slime solidified into a fine, smooth wall. Reflects projectiles and even rockets back to the shooter.â
It was briefly mildly counterable by destroying doors with the green aim symbol on them for about one week, then marines figured out not to target doors.
Just another large hivelord nerf. Itâs a ton of fun to play against with weedkiller as well. You donât even see sentries anymore as itâs so overpowered compared to having a frontline sniper turret or something similar. Maybe Bravo will have one at best.
boiler the marines while they try to charge, and/or attack from the sides? itâs a tool thats supposed to allow marines to attack into fortified chokes, it does what its designed to do - its not that brute is too strong, but sentries have been so âbalancedâ over time that offensive engineer with brute is much, much more attractive even at the cost of backpack (with welder tank) and its simply more fun to play
people insisted marines need to stop âcadehuggingâ and engineer was made as enjoyable to play as crawling through broken glass so now you get a funny rocket that forces xenos to stop⌠resinhugging and the reaction is âremove/nerf it nowâ - my response to that is go play default CT to see the flipside
I do enjoy brute myself, I just wish it maybe had a range nerf, or maybe was less effective at great range, as its hard to punish a CT without a full coordinated push or a really skilled sniper xeno.
My thoughts now are about the same as 3 months ago, BRUTE is a really cool addition that has a few oversights.
Its ammo isnât pop-scaling like most restricted weapons, instead just being an option for every engineer. Which has been greatly mitigated now that the shine of the new weapon has worn off, and every single engi doesnât take it every round.
And it has no real way for xenos to interact with it. Sure, you can boiler gas after it fires, and try to rebuild over the flames. Or stun the CT during the generous wind-up. But you cannot prevent the BRUTE from taking out the fortifications in any real capacity. 7 tile range and full IFF means there is no capturing or killing the CT like with C4, or the old XM shotty. Full IFF also applies to xenos, so I canât even tank the shot as defender if it would save the hivecore or something similar. Finally, if I do rush out to stun an out of position CT, the wind-up is stopped, but all ammo is conserved, and said CT is free to just, stand up and fire again.
Happy to hear if any of this is wrong, as I havenât played CT, only Rifleman and Xeno.
Resins free, you have 20+ minutes to prep, drone evolves into every caste, most natural terrain supports minimal building in hive zones, generally cant cas, OB, mortar cave hives, and you can remote build with queen and lord strains.
Iâll say all that but I actually go either way on if its too strong or not. I donât personally use it that much as CT, but when I do Iâm not trying to waste ammo on a one thick wall with nothing behind it. When I play xeno I feel like the hive wastes its prep time nearly every round (even when its not chasing survs.) Only ever two drones doing the constructing and occasionally youâll see some assistance in an area with breaking windows if a xeno walks by. Need more trackers being used for coordination (and younger xeno thatd probably lean into the support roles) and someone has to break a god damn APC that isnt building please
