Disallow queen tunneling

Gotta love that name ‘CBT’ However, how about just being able to build something on top of it with metal,
Metal is everywhere, just shoot some girders, rob an engineer, or in your case shovel it.

I myself don’t like wasting a C4, that is extremely rare. A Squad leader gets only 1 C4. A burrower can build them infinetly. Yeah you could argue that it takes 3 HEDP to take it down however, HEDP doesn’t get printed through briefcases like money in CL’s case. It costs 3000 for 3 HEDP in a box I think.

Being able to destroy them doesnt fix the issue. But yeah, would be cool to see this as a feature since im not a fan of wasting pushing tools on these either.

I agree that the queen tunneling is a bit silly. The implications for the removal of this ability would be massive, however, so it should not be done without serious consideration.

Overall I am in favor of this suggestion.

I agree when a queen just tunnels to the other side of map it is dumb, but I don’t think we should remove it as Biolock said the implications would be massive

Maybe something like once she tunnels, the tunnel will collapse both sides, the side she hopped in and the side she hopped out making it a one way thing stopping her from bouncing From FOB to hive and so on

This would also make it so if She leaves before the rest of the hive the tunnel will gone so eh maybe it would work or not, also coding that… I’m going to guess that it will be a pain

Also it don’t make sense, a queen 9 to 12 meters (30 feet to 39) tall can tunnel but a marine 185 CM (6 feet) can’t?

I’ve wrote like five replies but they all got too long for my liking.

Entrenching tools can destroy tunnels infinitely now. If a stealth hijack occurs that is the marines problem. Every com-tech get’s an e-tool for free.

This whole spiel is about stealth hijack and queen delaying by escaping the hive destruction and to that I say;

The round doesn’t end until all xenomorphs or humans are dead for a reason. If marines get complacent after hive is killed and the surviving xenomorphs take advantage of that, the mistake is on the marine players and their command, not the xenos.

The round is not obligated to end until the above conditions are fulfilled. It does not end until those are fulfilled. The caste of xeno doesn’t matter. This feels less an argument for queen tunneling as much as it is for queens viability at being able to do comebacks after hive destruction which in response I say:

You do not win just because the hive was destroyed.
