Hello again,
I was banned from survivor two years ago after having a heated argument with Morrow regarding the hostility towards marines of the (then new) nightmare insert UPP survivors on Trijent Dam.
If I remember correctly, after they were first added by Morrow the flavor text for them did not inherently state whether you are hostile, or not. So I took that flavor text (something about UPP being sent on a secret mission to secure bioweapons) and came to interpret alongside the other survivors that UPP are hostile towards the USCM, Shortly after that we opened fire and were fighting the marines, but were stopped amidst as we were all messaged by Morrow to cease fire as He did not intend for the UPP survivors to be hostile.
Everyone involved in this argument argued against this ruling, but eventually dropped it as an ultimatum was given by Morrow.
I, of course at the time, took it a step too far and lashed out at Morrow over this after the round was over. Shortly after that I had been banned from survivor, and right after that Morrow made a PR that changed the flavor text to clearly state that the UPP are not hostile.
From my perspective now, I can see why I was mad, but I can’t really see a valid reason on why I took it this far and for what, as it was clearly unjust toxicity alongside the entire lash out being completley pointless.
This happened two years ago though, and after playing the game for what I believe has been a month now after my permanent ban appeal has been accepted, I have come to really miss the survivor role, as it is something truly unique to CM that cannot be found anywhere else. For me it has also been a major part of the game that I have grown to really enjoy over the years, and I’d really love to be able to enjoy it once again.
