Description of the incident:
I’m going to make this as short and clear as possible due to the video and images provided showing everything I’m going to explain.

I was in the public voice chat on the CMSS13 Discord server playing maintenance tech with Mrdadman (Amber Walsh). I was streaming my game screen and there was about 4-5 other people in the chat as well as me and Mrdadman at this time. We had both been goofing around and shoving each other for quite some time, but after I had stolen some drug hydro spray from Walsh, eventually wound up being a chased by them and I using the drugs. Eventually coming out of surgery we continued our minor shenanigan’s including tabling each other and eventually punching each other.

We were in the medical bay and were punching each other when we were then both A-slept. Amber not disclosing much other than stating “I just got a ping from forest” and not disclosing any other information (this would be in violation of disclosing admin intervention in a public VC) and I had not received ANY form of notification as to why I was admin slept at all. I sat A-slept for about a minute and a half before being un-slept and left at that by Forest. After a few minutes of not receiving any reason whatsoever as to why I was admin slept I ahelped and received the most unprofessional PM I have ever seen from Forest that said “As you’re in a VC I’m quite sure you know what it was for.” And elaborated no further than that.

While I was trying to write a response to the PM, Forest joins the public VC and either due to him ignoring my question or the other loud people did not answer why I was A-slept (he states that he had said why but I still hadn’t heard any response verbally confirming any actual reason why other than stating that because I was in a VC with Mrdadman he would tell me why). I had reached out to them in private DMs via discord and they went as follows:

Note: I did not get any form of OOC punishment other than the admin sleep, no notes warnings bans etc. even though Forests argument was I had broken Rule 10. Lethal Force “In cases where there is a serious threat to life, such as being punched to the borders of crit, escalation in the linear sense does not apply. The most important part of escalation is appropriate force, this means that you use an appropriate amount of force to the situation. For example: Being punched twice on full health is not a serious threat to your life. It would not warrant you throwing hell to the wind and blasting away your comrades. Being punched twice after already being critically injured can be seen as a risk to your life, and you can take appropriate action. This is subject to circumstances however and not a greenlight for any situation.”
Viewing the footage neither of us were near critical

My reasoning for this report is unreasonable action and serious lack of information given and not professionally handled by Forest.

Quick update I would like to add to the report.

  1. I spoke with Mrdadman and they state that forest did not tell them to say to me to cut it out whatsoever. They only expected amber to say to me ( a non staff member ) a leak from admin chat.

  2. I am requesting that admin chat logs from forest are posted for this specific report to back up this.

All that was really said in ASay was Forest asking MrDadMan to stop, nobody would have even considered “hey we’re being asked to stop so maybe we should cut it out” as being an ASay leak. Even so, MrDadMan is a manager, and has reasonable discretion to share information when warranted. Neither of you were even tangibly punished aside from a bit of tongue lashing.

I’m not exactly sure what you’re expecting Frozen to do with this report. It was pretty clear what you were slept for, and even if it wasn’t the Vice Host of the community involved, the most that could come of it would be “hey just make sure you PM people when you sleep them.”

This whole thing seems silly to me.

Maybe I have not conveyed it enough but, the issue is that there was OOC interaction from a staff member, for little reason, asleeping is usually an extreme action because it literally stops you from doing anything in game at all, and for a unreasonable amount of time with no PM or warning anywhere. He expected someone else to tell me why I was aslept and was going to completely leave me in the dark, literally, why I was aslept. The fact I had to reach out after waking up to get an explanation why I was aslept is ridiculous and unprofessional. It was an unreasonable response to my question in the ahelp instead of a straight cut “because you were punching someone with unreasonable force” they stated “you’re in a VC I’m sure you know what it was for”. Takes the same amount of effort or even less to say the reason then to beat around the bush for 20+ minutes.

I also feel like there was some minor amount of unreasonable biased action due to them knowing me and mrdadman are friends, especially when they stated “beating the shit out of eachother for little more reason that because you know you can as friends.” They assumed the entire time that they would divulge in leaking staff material to me just because I’m their friend or whatever and that we only beat each other up because we are friends. Considering I was sanctioned as a staff member for even mentioning an ahelp in a public VC it is reasonable for Mrdadman to have not disclosed any information of being told off. It really was silly in all honesty.

Also I really don’t see anywhere in the log whatsoever where forest directly told amber to tell me at all, again purely expect mrdadman to tell me what he said to mrdadman.

You got slept for getting into a near crit fist fight over a hypospray with another player.

Forrest should have been more clear in his bwoink and in his msay speaking to you both, but considering you’re 1) both in a VC and 2) the message to cut it out got across, I’m not gonna punish him for it.

You spoke to him on discord and he clarified this. As far as I see, this is pretty cut and dry barring a minor lapse in communication.

No action taken.
