Give GL spec a grenade that can reliably stun T3s

As per the title, it really feels like outside clearing resin buildings (which brute is more than capable of doing without taking up a spec slot) or stunning T1s (ditto for a rifleman with a grenade launcher), grenadier spec doesn’t really feel like they have a specific role in the team. Being able to reliably stun T3s with a low damage, decent AOE grenade would provide more utility for the frontline and help to secure big kills when the bugs have dug in with cas cover. Currently the only reliable way to do this is with an OB, which is very limited in supply.

your average grenades already stuns and slows most castes. Why do we need to buff it even more when it’s capable of wiping a horde of T’1’s and T2’s?

it really doesn’t need it

the micro stun you get against everything that isn’t crusher or queen can be enough for marines to combo off of it for the kill

not buffing average grenade, I mean add a special grenade exclusive to GL/GL’s launcher specifically for this purpose. There’s an opportunity cost if you choose to buy them with your points

My point is your normal grenades are capable of easily killing off 80% of the hive as is. We have 2 or 3 T3’s who can slash a GL without needing to worry about being mowed down to death after being stunned/slowed. A GL shouldn’t be a counter to every single caste in the hive, and this goes for all marine specs. So no, GL doesn’t need any additional buffs since it’s already a powerful spec as is.

The only T3s who doesn’t get perma stunned by grenadier are ravs and crushers. Literary every other caste then armored up defenders can get perma stunned. Why do you need to have even more stunning?

today i’ll unironically consider making the GL that is already a menace to almost every xeno caste even more brutal by letting it stun the two castes and one prae strain that have explosion resistance to protect them from being stun locked as melee focused castes, turning the GL into the counter-all must-pick specialist

what made you think that this is a good idea to even suggest? the human mind is a curious thing and i’d love to explore yours

HEDP can already stun the majority of the hive though?
Outside of oppressors, crushers and hedgehogs you can microstun pretty much everyone else besides the king and queen. GL is already a menace to T3s, and a ridiculously effective killer of everything else.

id rather run into sadar than gl, at least you can dodge sadar, gl just perma stun locks you

Don’t grenades already stun?

GL being able to stun all T3’s would make SADAR just a worst version of it.

Also you can stun a few T3’s already with HEDP, most actually, other than Hedgehog and crusher really.
