Description of the incident:

I was playing as CMP since basically the start of the round and everything was going as normal until it was reported by an SL on Command Comms that there were UPP and TWE Survivors. The XO Jo Kirk replied with “kill them” on Command Comms.

This eventually led to several people being fired upon and one UPP Synth Survivor actually being shot.

During all of this i had ordered the XO to retract their order via announcement since this was blatantly against SOP (It stating that “Marines are encouraged to peacefully recover any third-party personnel found in an area of operations and offer them refuge within their ship.”) The XO reluctantly retracted their order and that was that for the moment.

The XO however after this continued to harass and berate the Survivors, ordering me not to let a UPP Synth have Synthetic access because they were of a “foreign allegiance”. This eventually escalated throughout the round until the CL finally decided to talk to me about what to do about the XO. I eventually came to an agreement to arrest the XO for FTFP and NoD on account of their caused fallout from the situation caused by them.

Me, two other MPs, and the whole survivor team (who were not involved in the arrest, only observed) went to detain the XO, i stated his arrest and attempted to cuff him at which point he stepped away from me, i escalated by hitting them with a baton and got one hit off before the XO took it upon themselves to take their pistol out and open fire upon me and another MP.

XO was quickly detained after this and processed/perma’d for Attempted Murder, Resisting, and the other crimes listed above.

Hello I was at CIC durning the arrest i was the survivor researcher that round and all I heard over colony comms groundside was from the Charlie SL. ARE YOU FUCKING UA ARE YOU UA BECAUSE IF YOU ARE NOT I WILL KILL YOU. Once shipside the XO denied ever saying to kill survivors to Elizabeth the synth. Then as survivors we say around the CLs office talking then the CMO drugged a Colony CL then we went to the brig and watched the arrest where the XO went and gunned downed the CMP for making the arrest clearly braking IE

Heya! I was waiting for more comments before making my decision. I guess that’s all we got.

Well, I read the logs and I can confirm that because of the XO’s orders, two Marines shot the UPP Synthetic Elizabeth, Elizabeth did not show any hostile action therefore there was no point in shooting her or ordering Marines to kill her, and it was clearly a violation of Rule 4. If a Military Police is trying to arrest you, you cannot avoid the arrest by lethal means. XO shot the CMP along with 2 people after CMP hit him with stunbaton, so it was clearly a violation of Rule 10.

@smellyhippie handled the half of the report, and I will handle the rest by issuing a Warning per Rule 4 and Rule 10. Report approved.
