Gorap - Player Report: 2ndLt Isabel ‘Inti’ Alvarez, I’d at a minimum say Rule 2: Roleplay. Rule 3: Community Expectations maybe.

What’s your BYOND key?

Gorap

Round ID:

28549

Your character name:

2ndLt Isabel ‘Inti’ Alvarez

Accused character name:

2ndLt Nash Calloway

What rule(s) were broken?:

I’d at a minimum say Rule 2: Roleplay. Rule 3: Community Expectations maybe.

Description of the incident:

Wake up as Dropship Pilot. Talk to Gunship Pilot, since they are priority. Tell them I am getting a Laser, so they can give input.
Ask if they want me to take Fulton, so they could focus on CAS/Medvac. Get told “Whatever you want man.” Not an answer, not helpful.
They decide to insult me in character.
Acting completely unlike what a person of their rank and role would be.

I was half-half on making this report, since I already made another report. However, I believed that this type of attitude should not be condoned at ANY point of the server. Especially for such minor things.

Evidence:

Edit: Added them refusing the XO’s orders.

Edit: Fixed my name being on the accused. Whoops.

Hello, I play Nash Calloway. Any negative interaction I have with players is usually in-character, as was this interaction. Nothing said by a character of mine is based in the reality of my character in real life. If I caused you mental taxation for my roleplay, I am sorry, it was not my intention; however, since this is a report against me, I will be taking the liberty to defend myself.

First of all, in regards to roleplay standards, I stated in the lines of text above this one, everything I say and do when playing a character is based in roleplay. I don’t kill someone in a roleplay scenario because I like killing people out of character, I do it because it’s roleplay, I’m forming a story that is purely fictional; furthermore me slinging harsh words and statements at you should be treated just the same. My character, Nash Calloway, is an erstwhile EVAC-3 fighter pilot with an immense ego that got grounded for a military-related crime I haven’t worked out yet (Nash is a relatively new character and I’m still ironing him out, bear with me). Nash does not enjoy being with the Falcons, much less being locked to flying a dropship. Nash’s treatment of your character, a perceived Falcon, is in-line with his character at large and is, in fact, the definition of roleplay. Again, I don’t hold anything against you, it’s just Nash’s attitude.

Continuing with the roleplay standard you rival me on, the later screenshots depict Nash’s conversations with the XO of the round, which Nash was at odds with. I remember specifically roleplaying Nash the way I did as a way to tick off the Captain, in the hopes of maybe getting transferred to a different post. I remember it very vividly. “I’m already at the bottom, it can’t get much worse.”

In conclusion to your claim of Rule 2’s breaking, Nash Calloway is a convict pilot with a ginormous ego, taking inspirations from fictional pilots such as Count from Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown and of course Maverick from Top Gun (He’s cool, sue me). I believe my roleplay with your character to be apt given the way I designed the character I was playing that round.

On to the claim of my breaking of Rule 3, I really can’t say much, apart from the fact that you (purposefully nor non-purposefully) failed to include the parts where you continued to interact with me in your evidence section, specifically between the first and second screenshots, where you continued to poke Nash by saying he was “insecure about communication” and the like. Most of the round was me not talking to you, so it wasn’t like I attempted to bait you into arguing with me again. Every time I spoke to you it was in direct response to something you had said.

Going onto the communication thing, I remember specifically you confusing every thing I said to you. Your character had insulted Nash on his communication skills after Nash had simply asked “So what are you doing with the fulton?” I did not send this message to you to ask what the fulton did, but if you were going to take it or not. You asked “Do you want me to take the fulton?” I said “Do whatever you want, man.” You replied with something besides the conversation, I can’t remember, and eventually I wound us back on-topic by asking you “So what are you doing with the fulton?” as to ask you if you were taking it or not, you confused what I said and proceeded to turn it into a back-and-forth. In all, you took a confusion, that was bad on your part, and spun it into an argument. I don’t have screenshots of this stuff because it didn’t mean anything to me at the time, but I’m fairly certain everything I’ve said can be backed up by the chat logs of the round. If something’s a miss, leave it to confusion because again, I did not care for this interaction greatly.

That’s pretty much all I have to say, if I think of something further I’ll try to correct myself, thank you.

Nash would not stay in the USCM, nor the the Military at all. Especially when they insult their XO, refuse orders, etc. While yes, pilots like them exist. They would definitely NOT exist as a Mere 2nd Lieutenant. They would lack the authority to do so. If they were demoted and grounded recently? Again, they would be on tight shit. Ex-Convict? That’s fine, again. Act like someone who would be there and not in numerous Anger Management sessions.

The difference with the two inspirations you’ve said is that they were usually extremely decorated or in special positions. You are none of that.

Calling a fellow officer a whore, and more is not like a Officer.

This was the interaction that started it. I stand by what I said by being terrible at communication. You did not answer twice, of course she’d call him terrible at communication.

Do whatever you want.

Is not an answer to a clearly stated yes or no question. Nor was any attempt to answer the follow up questions of my DP

2ndLt Isabel ‘Inti’ Alvarez [JTAC (DP)] asks, “Now I am asking you, are you going to be running fulton?”
2ndLt Nash Calloway [JTAC (GP)] asks, “No, you idiot, the fulton! What are you doing with it?”
2ndLt Isabel ‘Inti’ Alvarez [JTAC (DP)] asks, “For… Intel?”
2ndLt Nash Calloway [JTAC (GP)] says, “Whatever, forget it, I have the fulton.”

This was extremely poorly taken by a 2nd Lieutenant. OOCly or ICly, this is genuinely a sign of communication issues.

Nash had simply asked “So what are you doing with the fulton?” I did not send this message to you to ask what the fulton did, but if you were going to take it or not.

This is true. However, this is a horrible question to ask in that context. “Are you taking fulton?” or “What’s your choice?” instead of “What are you doing with fulton?” should have been asked.

Also, I had just found out the word that probably ticked me off ICly.
2ndLt Nash Calloway asks, “No, you idiot, the fulton! What are you doing with it?”

Calling a pilot and idiot when you ICly fucked up in the question. She of course answered literally.

There is literally only one use of Fulton in game and mechanics wise. Asking me what am I doing with Fulton was a miscommunication on your side, hence the insecurity comment.. Your response to a fellow Lieutenant being to swear them out and call them names is completely childish in character. They are not a well written character for the setting.

Hurling insults is fine. Hurling insults on COMMAND.

They are not suited to the setting, not for their role.

Play a reasonably realistic character.

While I still disagree with you on a larger part, you did succeed to point out one fault in my original statement: my blaming of you for instigating the root in-character argument. I had completely forgotten that I called your character an idiot in the first place. I still, however, believe this is in-line with Nash as a character, and doesn’t feed any positive input to your argument by itself, just a recollection mistake on my part. The rest of your statement boils down to pure semantics/in-character issues.

Player Report Denied

Hello @Gorap, this player report is DENIED.

After investigation, I conclude no rules were broken. Staykeu made a genuine roleplay attempt and adhered to it, with no evidence of hostility outside of character, confirming it was all roleplay. I encourage Staykeu to reflect on their character’s portrayal and backstory.

If you believe the closure of this player report is a mistake, feel free to privately message the moderation team on the forums with your arguments, or reach out to a member of Management.
