We all have them. We’ve all seen them. What are the greatest fumbles, either individually or of an entire team, in your time on CM?
Personally I’ve hit almost every single shot as a Demolitionist and racked up double digits in kills and assists in a round, thought I was hot shit, and have since been unable to hit a single fucking rocket. My fumble is EVERY DEMO ROLL GRAHHHHH
too many times I’ve had a buddy get pounced by a lurker and walked up to PB it and clicked them instead.
I escaped from capture in the hive without being capped and was about to get coords for an OB after destroying the hivecore. Sadly I didn’t have a knife so I tried shooting the core, even with nearly half a mag of Mk1 ammo I still couldn’t destroy it, and I got capped then and there. Peak fumbling
Also why do hivecores take so many fucking bullets to destroy?

we had the hive on their last legs until sadar shot a door with WP and killed the entire front with it
then i lagged during retreat and fell into a resin hole. oops!

Marines are up to cave entrances by minute 45, standard stuff; the hive is busted, whittled down to a measly seven xenomorphs against 103 marines.
Xenos win.
Recently I reverse burst and was feeling very proud of myself until I walked 5 tiles into a hugger trap.
all structures out of resin, yes ALL of them, have big bullet resistance and the hivecore has the most health out of everything the xenos can build in the game (aside from the roofs which are invincible)
its not really a fumble but close enough, the round before Major Dafoes last round ( 
) i was a pyro spec, we managed to go to the reactor, i killed a boiler and defender so only the queen is left, we keep pushing and there is a 3 wide resin door which is like in the middle of the push, everyone runs past it until i come around and knife it.
GUESS WHAT the ENTIRE hive invluding the queen was waiting there, she solo screeches me and i get capped, by some fucking miracle we get past it and the queen cant run away due to some based CT building up the whole reactor with cades. the actual fumble comes at that time where queen is next to a foldable plasteel cade with marines running for her, she screeches and decides to not instantly run past so she gets closed on the other side and mega fucking dies

this is kinda a comeback story but once on ‘624 an SO incendiary OB’d the entire front before fog dropped and the marines still won.
The two that come to mind:
There was an OB at bar in Solaris that killed 8 xenos. There wasn’t even any good reason most of them died. The paths out were not blocked, and I got out just fine. I think only 4 of us were left after that. I remember we did surprisingly well holding up considering the damage, but pretty sure we lost.
There was one sadar, who I purposely forgot their name, who missed nearly or all of their shots, and managed to gib at least 4 marines. They were so bad the xenos didnt even want him dead. When the xenos killed him, they were looking for ways to get the marines to recover his body.
So when you think you are doing crap just remember: there was a sadar who was so bad the xenos wanted alive.

I am next to a guy with a flamethrower. Lurker pulls up on my left. Guy lights me on fire. Lurker runs away. I like to believe it was BOO.
Woke late and decided to paradrop to the front on NV. Happily jumped out the back of the Normandy… into an OB…gibbed on the spot.
I’ve been dropped on top of a queen before but this is far better

his ending fate? I recall he died so far back the marines wernt able to get him, so xenos gave up any plan for getting them to save him. I forget if queen gibbed though: she was around so she might have just for the lulz
Rolled WS as Bravo and decided to try out the demo, deployed groundside with AP loaded since I expected T3s.
We engage in combat and I see the Alpha SG get jumped on by a Praetorian, as a good samaritan I approach to AP that bugger and I MISS the prae by ONE tile, and guess WHAT? the tile the AP rocket went to??? WAS THE TILE THE ALPHA SG WAS ON, GIBBED, IN AN INSTANT.
I felt terrible for the rest of the round
