I do concede that, currently, the USCM Specialist has little going for it aside from its unique armour which is, practically, as strong as the UPP Specialist armour. I feel this is just a generalist content issue with a lack of unique extra content. As it stands, I feel reworking USCM Specs to be more generalist is a good idea, but there is room for them being given more gear/content to work with for HvH, even if its a PKP equilivant.
I do agree some maps feel better suited to HvH than others. For example, I suspect LV-624 will be terrible. However, we’ve only had one round on New Varadero. I feel that with more rounds on it, plus the better UPP FOB location I’ve selected, it may prove a far more interesting map.
Balancing HvH combat is going to be a difficult thing to accomplish, but I am convinced that we are going in the right direction, as the original form of HvH combat creates a enviroment of extreme frustration where everyone is incentivized to fire from off-screen and where people die instantly and suffer an extreme amount of permanent injuries.
Generally speaking, I think its early days but most of the player feedback regarding HvH combat has been positive so far. But I can concede that this might change as people become more used to it. We’ll have to see.

That looks awesome. Fantastic work man.
Remove flamers. People with flamers just frag with it. And there’s little counterplay too. if you get hit you take continuous damage and you need to roll twice to put it out. In that time the enemy can just walk up to ya and flame again. Then there’s the flaming of the bodies (which just permaed me inside the FOB and I am understandably upset over it). Nothing fun about that either. The fragger literally rushed FOB without resistance. I would like some sentries with my FOB. Then the gunplay was once again awful. For some reason the UPP has an advantage and I am not sure what that is.

When I found out OT was outright banned in HvH, I was disappointed because I saw it as the only opportunity to have fun with the shrapnel mechanic which otherwise can’t be used at all due to how ineffective it is against xenomorphs.
My suggestion is that instead of entirely removing OT, maybe we can just reduce the maximum explosive power and flame area of custom grenades, which would eliminate the problem and encourage OTs to use different methods without completely removing them as a game mechanic.

flame dmg will be nerfed in general, but from observing last HvH the players just ended up missing all shots and getting gunned down or flaming themselves. also there is fix that prevents harming dead bodies from all sources including explosions and flames that will be included for future events

OT is unbalanced agains xenos and getting it to work on HvH is low priority, super low, no idea if I will even consider getting them to work, sorry. normal shrapnel nades are valid tho

also upp do not have any advantage, basicly all the advantages are on the side of marines, they just do not use them as the advantages come from using tools that are useless for HvX and you do not even consider their use. observing the last two USCM looses in both NV cases they have lost to not being able to protect the medics while they healed / move bodies to be healed in safe area. in both NV rounds USCM had lost 4 man top (with eqal looses on UPP side) before they failed retreat when they had way too many dead and wounded to sustain offensive

HvH PR list so far
If/once the essential PRs are merged, the game mode will be almost virtually automated needing almost no staff intervention aside from enabling the event and opening the UPP job slots.
I’m hopeful once the ball gets rolling on Hybrisa being merged (in its own time) that this will signal the slow process of getting these last outstanding HvH PRs reviewed.
Plus, Blundir is planning to port a metric ton of the PvE UPP sprites to PvP as I mentioned before. This will be a huge boon to us.

Good point, bit of an oddity, plus I believe any UPP that goes into cryo, all their gear gets sent to the Almayer. Something to get fixed.

The UPP Pilot roles should probably be removed; or at least reduced to one.
The Primary dropship hardly requires a pilot - sourcing tools to do your job is difficult, but even then, the dropship doesn’t even require outfitting. You also can’t control any attached systems as you only have the nav computer.
Command also just has autopilot.
The Secondary dropship straight up does not have a purpose as you have no control console to use MEDEVAC or PARADROP systems, and due to the communications issues posed by there being one main UPP channel, the Pilots having no access to the medical channel, it’s basically impossible to coordinate anything with those.
I think you can always switch off autopilot and then use your role as intended but yeah if the secondary dropship doesnt even work then don’t see a role need for second Pilot
both sides will recive nonlethal cas, eventuly, it is far from priority

I played as the UPP shipside doctor and for the morning rush, wish there was a janitor bucket in or near the medbay to be able to make pills faster, hardly found any inside the ship. At end of the game found a single bucket in the brig. Can the reagent carts in the UPP medbay chemlab be unanchored aswell shipside by default as it is on Almayer?

Took a lot of captures during the most recent round, our commissar was really cool and being HRP, and from what I heard most of the UPP MPs were doing well, until we had one guy go around and strip everyone completely naked after we’d very carefully checked them all for weapons and left them with a basic uniform. Really did not like that, this is why most people just ghost when they get taken and don’t bother trying to play into it cuz it’s really gross when people use it as a power fantasy.
