See title, do you guys have any ideas for potential RP-scenarios? I was thinking something to do with the reporter, but other than that I can’t think of anything.

Get a group of marines and challenge the pred to a fight, the only condition being that everyone must use their fists.
Not only does thing make for a long, fun fight, but it allows for multiple Marines to join in.
If the pred says something along the lines of “No, I will only fight one” then mock the pred, saying that they’re scared of losing to a bunch of unarmed marines. Most preda that are worth their salt (and like fun stuff) will accept.
Personally, if you challenge me as a pred with any blade/melee weapon, I’ll accept. I’ll take off my armor and try to level it out as well.

I don’t know, that’s a good idea but it feels a little LRP-y. Plus, you have to actually convince people to group up with you in the middle of a round, which in my experience is basically impossible, lol.

Unironically though, predators are cancer and I can’t fathom any potential meaningful interactions that can ever happen.
First time I ever met preds as my synth they were hosting a boxing ring on LV beach and it was the most immersion breaking thing on Earth. Another time we had a pred build a “home” on Fiorina and then he he did LRP shit and screamed about us breaking his pretty home and then he nuked it.

I think meaningful interactions are possible. However, higher standards need to be enforced.
I always thought a council guided pred event once a week or every 2 weeks would be really cool.

It’s not impossible; you have to find the right crowd. People are eager to RP with Yautja, while others will shoot you. It comes down to finding the right people and either chatting with them or running 1v1 boxing rounds. My pred is a gladiator in how I RP so I just go out and find people who are wanting to fight and make fun experiences for them.

I feel like there used to be more pred and normal player interactions but after something happened all I see them do most rounds is act like an observer. I remember back when I did stuff claiming that I saw preds in my dreams or whatever, that somehow worked and they went with it and it only really stopped once I started going too far with it. I feel like now they just observe then cryo. There should be no fear because it is a round based game. You will not be removed from the WL for dying. Why not go out and at least try.

I like that idea a lot too, I’ve always felt like preds have been left out of events since we stopped doing tribes (although everybody but me hated tribes, apparently…)

Flyting! Aka an insult battle. First one to break and get violent looses honor. @Mensla knows what I mean! Recruit a lesser and laugh as the marines loose a fistfight. Grab a marine and force them to fight xenos one on one. Enter the FOB and make increasingly ridiculous demands. Board the Almayer, steal a xeno body from research, and force the MST to make you a feast. Steal a marine’s shit and make them go on a scavenger hunt. Get creative!

It wasn’t remotely a “lodge” the guy had admins spawn him in temple blocks to build some weird fucking shack on fiorina and he was acting like he had Alzheimers an he’d always been there.
It was just very weird and jarring and not remotely good roleplay.
I stand hard in my belief that a lot of pred related activities actively drags down RP rather than elevates it meaningfully.

Yeah, interacting with preds generally is just “1v1 me bro” or “I insult you until you attack me”, with a third one being the “advanced ghost”. Preds generally don’t have much to interact with, and no real insentive to do so without being LRP.

That sounds like a very poor atempt at a pred event if im honest. Like, someone said “what if we make mini event pred stuff” and implemented it the same round the came up with it.
They can decorate their armor with bones and skin from prey and have marines be thralls. You just dont see any of the utilize it cause everyone does the same shit. Im willing to bet a lot of em dont try new stuff because they dont want to risk losing pred WL.

That is a good idea poorly executed.
I feel like predaliens could be a good thing they could add, and it could force temporary alliance type deals into the game. Also having more preds in the game could also be a good way to build engagement as I dont see them often enough to form strong opinions about them

We have predaliens, theyre Abominations and they usually cause like 4-5 preds to wake up and gank the hive
