Corpsmen defibmaxxing for hopefully appearing on fun facts is cringe. Meanwhile, healer CHADS (such yours truly), who revive their patients and know how to use grafts to stabilize them after defibbing are underappreciated

Without a doubt there are a lot of newer medical players running around right now. Some show potential and others just give you the impression they are a deer staring at an incoming car’s headlights. That’s how things work, you get new players joining the server and some get robust and others don’t. It is what it is.

Medical is marines most potent support tool and despite the multiple nerfs to it is still extremely powerful. However if you get a medic that isn’t someone like Reid ‘Lucky’ Gardner there is a chance the medic themselves can permanently remove you from the round. Chemical overdose, not understanding how to fix internal bleeding, attempting to revive you near the front and then getting overrun, taking your armor off and then dragging you back because they saw a boiler cloud on the edge of their screen and now you’ve lost both your armor and gun(rip Spec/SG), caring more about ending up on the fun facts and just trying to defib snipe marines instead of treating them, scanning a marine with 400+ damage and giving them a black card because it’s too much effort to heal them, not shaking a downed marine up or recognizing they have low blood and will remain passed out despite being near 100% health, the list goes on.

Not much you can do really except be the change you want to see in the world. It’s frustrating yeah but at the same time it’s like people will complain about command but never actually play command themselves. Command, Engineering, Requisitions and Medical can be super helpful support aspects to any single marine’s overall round. But most people just wanna put weapon spec on high and unga it up. Only the chads take the time and find enjoyment in supporting/helping others.

As someone with a lot of corpsman hours, I agree. The system would work better if it kept track of more stats like damage healed, splints correctly applied, IB surgeries completed, blood administered, and just displayed a random one of those.

If you cant stand up your patient after defibbing then you did it wrong

A true medic simply does their job so well they never have to expend a defib charge :sunglasses: :fire: :fire: :fire: :sweat_drops:  :sweat_drops:

Offtopic but only slightly - your forum avatar is great. Lately I’ve just been telling people they have IB and asking if I can do surgery - if they don’t want it (a lot of marines will either refuse or ignore you) then fair enough, what happens in a couple minutes is on them.

(edit: old avatar was corpsman related)

Wait a minute, I can just let someone die after I revive them and revive them again and that counts to the revive fun fact?

Wait, let someone die? You mean you haven’t intentionally been killing your patients just so you can farm infinite revives from them?

If they are extremely low on blood for example, you can just wait for them to die and keep reviving infinitely.

Well… you will fry their heart eventually… so not INFINITE

this is why you team up with a doctor/synth and do heart surgery
