No.

N/A

Yes, I have.
Why do you wish to become a Fax Responder?
Since I joined the Colonial Marines Server and its Community, the thing I liked the most was roleplaying. I saw the Fax Machine as a great opportunity to bring some much-needed RP into the Server, yet most of the time I barely see it being used.
I see the role-playing aspects and opportunities of Fax Responder as a great way to attempt and support expanding role-playing opportunities during Normal Rounds without taking much toll on the Round Itself, hence why I want to become a Fax Responder, for the expanding role-play opportunities.
What do you consider the purpose of this role?
I believe that the main purpose of being a Fax Responder is to bring roleplaying opportunities to the people playing roles aboard the Almayer, giving more flavour to the round itself without being the main focus or getting involved too much.
I also think that the role helps the Staff Team on some way, as it removes the āburdenā of them having to respond to the Faxes, giving them more space so they can take care of other more important stuff happening on the round.
When would you consider it appropriate to use your phone?
Never, but with given exceptions.
The role is called āFax Responderā for a reason; itās supposed to answer Faxes, not go around calling phones to talk with the Players.
Although I believe that the phone should never be used, there are some given exceptions, like, for example, a massive problem (CO Arrest Order, For Example), and they arenāt responding to any of the Faxes.
Or another example is where there are no Fax machines available, and thereās a huge problem that needs an immediate response.
If playing WY Responder, what objectives do you consider within your power to give the CL?
Iād say of giving them some stuff that doesnāt burden the Marines on a notable scale, and stuff that doesnāt require them to do āantagonisticā things, like for example:
- Having them recover the Colony Blackbox from the Administration Building on the Colony, by, for example, paying an Intelligence Officer to do so.
- Have the Command Staff sign NDAās and Colony Preservation Buildings, then make sure they donāt breach the agreement.
- Interviewing Colony Survivors and then having them sign NDAās.
I say iād give priority to roleplaying objectives, as the C-L role is mainly played by people that have the intent of roleplaying in mind.
If playing Press Responder, what objectives do you consider within your power to give the CC?
As a Press Responder, some of the objectives I would give to the Correspondent would be stuff that involves both roleplaying, and a bit of action:
- Interviewing the Captain.
- Take pictures of X thing(s).
- Have them record the operation on the ground.
- If they like paperwork, to write down a newspaper and have it sent throughout the entire Vessel.
Objectives would vary depending on the person, hence why Iād attempt to ask them their preference if theyād rather do more āRiskyā jobs or some āLess-Riskyā jobs, while having the more risky jobs to be paid better āPost-Operationā.
