its situational sometimes.
overall in terms of usefulness and kill potential blue flamer is at the top. Since if queen screes you can chase whoever got hit with blue flame after you stand up.
tl;dr
blue flamer sentry(beside wall for survivability) > Overclocked tesla (chokepoint no cades) > normal sentry(beside wall no cade) > anything else > JIMA flag (it sucks since SLs exists)
Wake me up when Focus Order removes FF chance depending on tier.
I used to bring overclocked tesla as my go-to turret for comtech and I do remember it being a LOT more popular a while back. Nothing changed to it, it still OP and stuns xenos, so for that reason its one of the best in the game. Its great as it also works with multiple xenos at one time so its not a turret you can just swarm.
The only downside is that it does ZERO damage, zero at all. You need to have guys shooting otherwise well, your stun’s wasted.
I’ve got no idea about the code of it or how the upgrade actually works, but what I understand the overclocked stuns t3s and has a higher stun chance and better slowdown compared to the regular tesla. Also the tesla completely blocks abilities from being used.
Movement is the easiest order to see a difference with, especially with SL orders that are both stronger and stick with you and help you haul ass in heavier armors. That’s the green.
Defend is an incredibly strong order that is not always seen the most because it’s a painkiller order effectively- it will stop crit from pain and let marines grit their teeth and get to cover. I’d equate it to an additive painkilling amount between Tramadol or Oxycodone depending on if it’s a JIMA, SL, or CO order. CO defend orders alongside XO, I think? are crazy crazy painkilling. This one’s blue!
Aim orders are probably the least easy to see the direct effect of, since it doesn’t give Marines aimbot. What it does, however, is stop bullets from “barely missing” xenos that would otherwise have succeeded a check from the game when it sees that a bullet should intersect a xeno on its path at range. The farther a bug is, the harder it is for a bullet on their tile to hit them. That’s what the Accuracy stat does, if you examine your guns. Tl;dr stray and long range bullets will hit their targets more often! This one’s red.
I understand the school of thought that >lol but SL’s, but something to understand is how long the Order cooldown is, the density of Squad Leaders over the entire regiment, and the frequency that they actually use their orders off cooldown, all are a sort of malus against the force getting value from Squad Leader orders alone.
The JIMA flag stands as an excellent buffer for SL’s to save their orders to use Move Orders, the one you see them use the most often, and for troops to get consistent value from a single CT at almost all times provided they’re moving the flag.
CT has allways been, compared to PFC when it comes to operating sentry, only been better by having intant sentry activation, other then that PFC can handle it the same, so it might get stolen by PFC who knows that
You see, i also dont play CT anymore with the rework
Haha…ha…
Now that i think about it, maybe getting my sentry stolen is just cosmic retribution
I really only tried to move ones where the owner was dead or the sentry needed a hero immediately, but mistakes were made.
