ItsMarmite - Commanding Officer Application

Never had a negative experience with Oswaldo that I could remember, and I’ve seen him around for months.

I remember rolling sniper spec with him using the spotter kit I dropped out in the squad prep room. I did not demand nor ask him to spot for me, but he did it anyway throughout the ground operation. The fact he used the spotter role in its intended “boring” way instead of just using built in NVG’s to try to frag xenos leads me to believe he could be trusted in a CO role.

+1 Oswaldo has cemented himself as a competent CiC member. What he may lack in robustness, he compensates by excelling in dedication and communication skills.
As XO when i see Oswaldo either leading as SL or overwatching via SO, i know i can relax and focus on other things. His communication with squads and command is top notch.
I haven’t seen Oswaldo RP, but to me his dedication to his role is already enough of a RP standart.
Overall, Oswaldo is the perfect commander type, he let’s others do the job, while staying behind and overwatching the situation by issueing orders.

Someone who I managed to keep track a fair bit of his career in command roles, and I can say with confidence his performances tend to be nothing short of textbook. That’s a +1 from me.

We need the Eesti CO, also he’s cool. +1

Easiest +1 from me.

Aalto has proven time and time again to me he is a capable commander, both from something as small to a fireteam level to an operation wide level. His RP standards are quite high and I think him getting the CO WL would be a net positive.

I haven’t played much with Oswaldo but in the last few rounds I had the pleasure to see him in action he performed well.

Anything short of a +1 would be an insult to his skill.

+1.

Always a reliable SO whenever I am his fellow SO or I roll XO.

I do not see him SL as often but when he does SL, he is very good at his role as well.

Not much else to say here, commanding material is all I look at and he is definitely it.

I haven’t had the pleasure of playing under you when you play XO, atleast to my memory, however you are by far one of the most reliable and level headed SO/SL players I have interacted and played with.

Massive +1 you would make a great Commander

Not gonna lie, I thought Aalto was already on the WL. Every time I see him in CIC I know we are going to have a solid round. If we do lose under Aalto’s command, I know its not his fault.

+1, I will happily follow Aalto into combat.

Nothing I can say that wasn’t already said. Most impressively never seen you get mad, at anything at all, actually. You’re gonna have a lot of fun as CO, +1

Seen and interacted with Oswald Aalto plenty of times since they more or less first joined the server and can say they have great roleplay. This is someone who has been putting in the time, work and effort on a very consistent basis over the course of year in command. They have done nothing but improve since they first started in both their command ability and roleplay, always staying in character no matter their role or situation.

Extremely humble individual who takes the time to ask others what they can improve on and takes nothing personally. Never seen them get upset or lose their cool in a multitude of situations and have never seen them griefing or breaking rules in anyway. Communicates well and has the trust/respect of many people in the server despite not being a multi year veteran player.

There isn’t much else I can add asides from they’re just a solid all around very active modern day marine main who is part of the Platinum Staff Officer Club. They understand marine law well, have a great grasp on how the server works in a variety of roles both combat and support. ItsMarmite is on the very short list of people I’d consider to be excellent command without being on any whitelist. I’m very confident they will treat the whitelist with the respect it deserves and will go on to be a fantastic CO.

Comfortable leading and commanding, he also just doesn’t acknowledge others when they try to interact with him, he engages with them and takes the initiative while behaving as a model senior officer should. Good luck dude.

Hi there,

I wasn’t originally going to comment on this application, because it didn’t feel right but after doing a bit of thinking I just wanted to thank you guys for the trust of this level of support.

I was a little on the nervous side when posting this application, so once again, thank you. Some of the comments have put a smile on my face over the last few days.

Hope you all have a good holiday season, and an (upcoming) happy new year.

In my opinion, probably the single best CIC player without the WL. Even I have learned how to be a better CIC player by watching Oswald either as a SO or XO. When playing squad marine, having Oswald in CIC means I know there’s someone listening up there.

To my friends on the council, I think the WL can only be improved with Oswald on it. +1

Very late to the party but…

You know you’re in a reliable pair of hands when you see Aalto in Command, as SO or XO. A good listener, good commander and always someone you can roleplay with, no one I’d rather see more in CIC.

Im also late to the party.

Oswaldo is such a good SO that just seeing the name in CIC gives me confidence to join a round as SL. I also find them very genuine in caring for the marines, not just about winning. Really one of the most outstanding SO’s I can think of. I have late-joined rounds I didn’t intend to, just because I noticed Oswaldo is in CIC.

So for what it is worth, thats a +1 from me.

+1 Player roleplays well, seen them play XO, QM, SL with no issue.

Story evidently has a lot of effort, be it beautiful formatting or an interesting plot.

The inclusion of the mischevious Isabel Lopits was a mistake
