i ran the no rule 9 or rule 2 event rather recently and am looking for feedback and opinions from people who played with it.
what were your most enjoyable moments, what sucked about it, etc.

yes its fucked up, but Im still glad it happened, It was a great time running around as ODSTs and shit and seeing all of the absurd reactions.
It was amazing how creative everyone was with who they chose lmao

Tragically timezones meant I missed out on the event’s peak, but I had a great time watching the stream at work in addition to the Artemis 2 launch. I was able to get a couple rounds in and it was really funny seeing what people came up with now that the flood gates were lifted for people’s creativity.
I’d love to see that event run again later in the year, maybe 4~6 months down the line. Use it sparingly so it doesn’t get overplayed and gives people an LRP outlet. I also would’ve liked it if I had some more time in advance to know about the event. That way I can spend some time thinking about whether or not I want to take some vacation time at work (or just call in sick) to participate.
Watching a surv hold and seeing someone named Coach scream, “THEY’RE ON ME!!” as xenos overrun them. A lot of funny moments were had simply by realizing who was actually saying what.
I played an IO named Slender Man. At the end of the round someone pointed at me and said, “Oh, I get it now.”
Battlefield executed George Washington during the briefing.
Randy Random forced me to eat without a table, imposing a -3 mood penalty.

Maybe increase the frequency to once every two weeks or once a month. Otherwise we literally have to wait a year to get such a thing again.

yeah it was good fun. i loved being able to just larp as random characters and seeing what other people came up with was fun. having gambler drones either blow themselves up or when the drones teleported the entire hive to the survs was so funny. In my opinion it was perfect as a April fools event and I think it should just stay that way.

Hey I’m the ASO Horus, probably it happens because I didnt see the other one before late joining. I ahelped for a name change because I could RP it to something like “Haha I was actually Alpharius!” or something but understandably admins are busy
So that maybe part of the feedback from me is more admins to respond would be nice

Honestly, the best part of the event was everyone was willing to drop the typical sweatlord metagame for the sake of HRP. There was more of an attempt to properly try to roleplay as your chosen character then to win the game. In most events, like HvH, or even zombies, there is still always this push for trying to win at the event. In this event you win by getting the most laughs.
For feedback: xenos have a hard time joining the event. Sure I was able to join by being ‘Sonic Underground’, the blue steelcrest defender stuck in fortify calling everyone too slow, but it required admin intervention. It also required the knowledge of how far I could extend, or else sonic would be perma dead in a minute. The only char I could do without admin intervention is being YU-JI, going yuji, and speaking in weeb level japanese. Even then it was only possible because I have enough hours to do 4 characters. I think xenos would have an easier time joining in as a character if they were able to rename themselves. I would also consider being able to change to like 10 different preset colors, and being able to talk to the marines.

Loved finding two Leon S Kennedy’s and pretending one of them was a clone. The comedy of them trying to figure out who the original made me smile.

Was RPing as Kane in the whiskey outpost game, and somehow a fucking NOD militaman was in the same squad as me. So we just kinda larped that the aliens were the visitors and we needed to find the tacitus that was south of us. He was even made a martyr.
