Right now, the family photo has a description of “a photo of a family you do not know.” Given that it’s intended for the owner of the photo to receive a different description, “a photo of you and your family”, I believe you should have a choice between knowing and not knowing the people in the photo anymore. There is SOUL in having a photo of the people you left behind to protect, knowing the insurmountable barrier between you in them that makes you foreign to what was once yours. Anywho. Add a menu that lets you choose which of the two descriptions you have.

TBH I found a picture of an adult family in the middle of the street once and I still have it 
it feels bad to throw out a family photo once I had picked it up.

It’s not that they aren’t your family, it’s just that you don’t recognize them anymore. Don’t really know them, what they’re thinking and feeling. The photo was once memorable, important to you, but has now lost meaning. its totally COOL and SOUL and isnt SILLY at all.

The text is not meant for the guy who choose to get this as loadout item, but for others. It makes sense for anyone else to not know that family. You know it, so you don’t have to examine it.

This could actually be great for RP.
Imagine being a CL and having a picture of the CO’s family, and when you try to get them to try and sign forms they brush you off so you go back to your office and send a fax of the photo with the words
“Your actions have consequences.”
On it. CO is immediately shitting their pants and you get to file another form in the filing tray. Ez WY dub
