what’s stopping every xeno from grabbing a couple eggs to bring to the frontline with them, then? If the survivors get eggs, they can just as easily store them in a backpack or satchel worn on them and make them indestructible and easily recoverable by marines. This is a non-issue for which any solution would have repercussions on the actual game
You cannot store eggs in any container on a person. Which is to prevent someone getting an egg, and xenoes not being able to deny it.

the fact that only specific castes can move and plant eggs. All the other xenos cant do anything but melt them.

Good question, like how David from Prometheus experimenting with Xeno eggs’ goo that results in the deaths of most of characters.
Sciency or WY types might want to study it. Or opportunists might sell it. So there’s some justification.
why would survivors or marines ever recover the in lore higly valuable xeno egg I wonder why, perhaps for the same fucking reason they do in lore every single time, greed
