idk when or why it was added, but that new flammable gas is kind of bs. Aside from absolutely tanking the server (which I can’t prove but I’m pretty sure it’s playing a big part in the gigalag some rounds) it’s basically a secondhand spec. Its area denial is obscene and it’s just ridiculously unfun to fight against. BUT I think that would change if there was more risk involved.
What if we made the tanks prone to exploding? This gas is obviously highly volatile. Either from acid spit or bullets hitting the back of a marine wearing the tanks, make a small chance for the gas tanks to just explode and engulf a vast swath of area in fire. I think the comedic factor of this alone would make the existence of this balanced tool way more tolerable, and soulful.
After all, there’s a reason people were scared shitless of wielding a flamethrower in WWII
Oh…OH that a good idea. It would make it much more soulful and neat… i can just see it now… it really would be a lark but sadly it shouldn’t cover a vast area. FF is simply just too common, still 3 sized flame would be good. Basically it would be the same as dropping INC nade at your feet.
It also should have a hiss and small count down before blowing.
But what if it calculated all the remaining gas in the tanks and stacked the ignition/burn damage of it all in that 3x3 area
Speaking of which bit off topic, but Frozen said atmos was approved if someone could find a way to do it without tanking the server; I’m just curious cause I have no idea how atmos works but does this gas use those principles? Could that genuinely be a reason for all the lag that coincides with gas spam
