i think marines need a new exciting mechanic where they have to manually blink every 5 seconds otherwise their eyes dry up and receive damage until complete eyesight loss

just press shift+pagedwn+{ to shut your eyes then press again to open them its simple

but its really fine cus you can also help marines blink by targeting eyes on the doll and help intent clicking their sprite it endorses player interaction just make sure you’re in close proximity to the player but be careful not to miss their sprite since there’s a delay on miss

i also think it would have been cool if boring imidazoline no longer healed eye damage and you could only heal eye damage through the newly added fully automatic femtolaser optilight vitrectomy machine in medbay requiring surgical skill 5 optometrist to use

in order to balance it out i think req should have anti inflammatory systane complete pf lubricant eye drops, that increase the blink window to 6.5 seconds, scalable with marine player count which requires the anti inflammation eye drops instructional pamphlet that medics, sls and rtos can get from their vendors

you also cant blink rapidly cus theres a blink delay preventing you from abusing the thing but you can close your eyes with the button and its great for rp purposes i believe

As an MP main I would be worried the ability for marines to hold their eyes closed is simply too strong, rendering both flashes and pepper spray ineffective.

I understand the immutable need to double press blink for immersion purposes, and so I am afraid I have to -1 this one.

But when are we adding manual breathing and, even better, manual heart pumping? If you don’t hit the right keybind 60 to 100 times (scaling higher than this based on if you’re running, wearing armor, carrying a gun, injured, using chems, playing the game whatsoever, etc.), you immediately suffer heartbreak and die and are also unrevivable and are banned from the server automatically for being LRP and dying when a normal human being wouldn’t.

I think we should also apply this to both sides so xenos have to do the same, as we know they also have hearts. As their hearts are pumping acid blood, they have to make twice the number of inputs of said keybind (which will be changed hourly for balance reasons), or they also will immediately drop dead.

I think this would be soulful, add RP opportunities and really improve balance. Also, I’m merging this immediately and uh, improve not remove so you can’t take it out. If you struggle with this, skill issue.

Easy fix, have pepperspray remain on the target like acid which they can only remove using a sink or shower, if they open their eyes at any point in time they are affected by the spray

Knowing marines they will be having staring contest with eachother and everyone goes blind. Landing at lz and start mass ff eachother, specs will want to shoot too. Spawn as spec to never shoot? Fuck no! Outside of the dropship however are the xenos watching with two mouths open and twitching senses
