Solutions
#1 for every 2 people in a van 1 extra xeno can enter the van.
#2 make van completely destroyable.
#3 let us see into van like ladder.
#4 let boiler glob into van.
#5 make it so when I say BUG YOUR A FUCKING BOILER PLEASE DONT FUCKING GO IN OR YOUR GONNA MAKE ME SUICIDAL they have to listen to me.
#6 remove stun crate it’s only used by old heads anyway and there is no indication it’s a stun crate and the stun is like 5 seconds for clicking on a crate.
Considering even ultra sweety surv players like this still have a near 100% rate I say keep this.
You throw people in a situation where they will die without getting creative. Then they get creative and then you want to nerf them.
Tip. As a xeno you can choose to not engage an enamy if you are sure it will result in you’r death. Same reasons don’t jsut charge blindly into a mine feild. The survs have to leave at some point just let them and then kill them.
tbh the vans are kind of bullshit, that goes for both sides, xenos can hide in them with a queen then jump out and get a fight, same goes with marines/survs hiding in the van since there is 0 knowledge about whats in it and abuse is easy with the limited pop. Currently the best strategy is just non-interaction, but thats not fun for either side.
So just make it so that when the van reaches 100% damage it throws everyone out
Being able to drop grenades in or out like ladders or acid holes on walls would actually be pretty nice. Windup means molotovs can’t be cooked, and marines should have enough infantry support to not risk FF most of the time.
Just let boilers glob in with the expectation that that much neuro gas is going to kill all caps if you do.
IIRC you can examine as xeno or motion detector a vehicle to see number of lifesigns inside?

You can with an MD, xenos can’t tell how many there are.
Pretty sure both humans and xenos can shift click the van, and it says how many are inside. Xenos can for sure.
I am willing to accept a compromise as follows: BUG isn’t allowed to go into the van as boiler anymore, and Xenos get the ability to hold cats again.

Reading this post I have no idea if I should see it as something seriously or was meant to be in Acid goop. You can sense how many people are inside the van as a xeno, in fact that is a feature for all vehicles.
If survs are in a van just box it in, put traps around it and then when survs leave (they eventually will to break out, this has happened time and time again) hug them as they’re stunned. You don’t always have to attack people, use your head and fight smarter not harder.
Again I have no idea if you are being serious with this due to the statement.

You should be able to shoot out of the van if xenos are able to flood you out from the van.
I haven’t seen survs win against a zerker in the van, ever, if you’re suiciding into the van as non-crowd control castes you can die. Crusher, Ravager, even defender wipes van. Its a confined space, its a double edged sword. Thats how its always been. You shouldn’t be going into van as a warrior, spitter, sentinel, or runner like i’ve seen the past few rounds and then somehow expect to come out on top over 6 guys cramped into a room.
Crate’s are a new strategy, if the first reaction is to remove it then I dunno man seems like a lot of copium that you’re not able to default to tail stabbing doors and spamming queenheals, weeds, or remote build to beat survs. Goes both ways. Crate strat is also fundementally flawed and easily counterable, just needs some strategy on the xeno side to wipe the van, not just suicide rushing inside then making mald post that you died to it.
I am aware of how the crate’s can be countered, I just dread to think of the day where people start playing the game and taking their L’s and wins instead of taking to the forums to make cope posts!
You put a crate with an attached electropack on it by the entrance to the van. Because it’s an under-utilized piece of legacy code (the best kind, in my completely unironic opinion), most aliens do not understand the threat and click on the crate to slash it open so they can walk over it to attack the survivors. This stuns the alien and allows the survivors to get an easy kill.
The first time I saw it I was thoroughly impressed. I agree that van camping right now is kinda cheesy and it’s currently impossible for aliens to siege (without taking losses, anyways). But the stun crate strategy is nothing short of genius and the exact kind of innovation I love to see and would hate to see removed.
Back to the van topic though, I’ve seen everything be tried as an alien main. Carriers with 16 huggers suiciding. 3 t3s entering at once. Invisible lurkers. All of these end in a wipe. In my own opinion, the best way to flush survivors out of a van while taking minimal casualties as an alien is ironically something the OP of this thread argues against: send in a lone boiler to suicide and gas them upon death. Losing a single t3 before the Marines land is about the best you can hope for right now when it comes to countering this.
I think just the fact that you can’t enter the van without putting urself in so much danger is like, the main reason van is an issue. It’s not very fun to be the 1st xeno to go in the door of van and instagib because like, what are you supposed to do at that point LOL
