Nerf Surv Van (xeno mald post)

Instead of rushing the broken van, wait outside of it. Survivors almost always exit it, especially if they’re too far from any LZs in hopes of marines taking over the area. Just build a cluster, maybe an egg morpher, and just wait

This unfortunately requires something that no CM player has

Patience

wait but…dont xenos not have a central nervous system? why do electropacks and shocked doors even stun them? does this mean an MP with a taser could stun one then put it in a crate?

And they are mostly made out of silicone, which is a natural insulator.

the synthetic survived the first boiler and had to be put out by the second boiler death

I need my dopamine fix now.

Is waiting a valid option? I don’t think there is a reason for survivors to exit a vehicle, and in the event of a stale-mate, marines will eventually arrive as soon as one hears a survivor on a station radio. Morpher or hugger traps are a neat plan, but assuming survivors can see outside the van, they’ll just want to wait for marines even more. (Actually, pitching molotovs out would be a neat way of countering that and resin-walling.)

Some survivors are dopamine junkies, but others are willing to wait 15+ minutes in a locker for marines if all their friends already died.

You are also depriving the rest of the hive of multiple xenos waiting out the van, instead of drone-taxing or fighting marines.

Buff Van.

In-fact survivor drive by’s coming to a server near you… :smiling_face_with_horns:

Drone tax is overrated. Better to hunt survivors, get your caste, and wait until marines land

What if xenos could pull survivors out of the van?
When the van is disable, you can “pull out” a survivor.
Maybe it selects a surv at random, or there’s a literal hand that you can dodge inside the van?

Would force an end to the stalemate.

If we can shoot out of it then sure, makes no sense you can “pull” out people but we can’t, see/shoot out of it if there’s “holes”, otherwise this makes vehicles completely useless really.

sure, but let survivors pull a random xeno in too, like getting kidnapped by the mob

this is like the 5th time I’ve seen this post this week and I don’t want to see it more so I’m putting an end to it. Can’t believe I’m typing this, what am I doing with my life

From the 1st movie:

Ash: But I have confirmed that he’s got an outer layer of protein polysaccharides. He has a funny habit of shedding his cells and replacing them with polarized silicon, which gives him a prolonged resistance to adverse environmental conditions.

a.) They build their armor about of inorganic, polarized silicon. “Polarized” silicon would prolly be SO: this is an excellent insulator, however, not tough. Considering the armor is chitinous, there’s probably other compounds in there. Look up “fulgurite” to see what happens when a charge is applied to a non-conductive substrate with a mix of conductive compounds. The Xenomorph’s armor is likely susceptible to a big enough shock, devastatingly so actually.

b.) The Xenomorph still has cells under that armor. Cell metabolism is dependent on electric charge. The Xeno doesn’t need a CNS for it to get all fucked up by a shock – its muscles probably all seize up, like any other organism.

c.) their fucking blood is acid they’re walking batteries, fuck you

I personally think the carrier suicide is preferable. When it works, they’re all guaranteed to get capped, the carrier who died will be able to play again sooner (and other players), and it makes the survivors mald in dchat. Over all, a win-win.

I have seen 3 carriers loaded up on huggers suicide into vans. It does not work. No one gets hugged.
