Nerf the Queen Screech + Runner Drag combo to the GROUND!!!

A warning system. That alone would be great. A inhale noise before she Screech. It gives marines atleast seconds notice beforehand. To be more prepared can do amazing things. Does not change anything mechanic. But people who is more away from her can have time to move back out of screech range and run back in. Or give marine that is close to hide in a room. It would nerf it and not insta op

Pretty sure this has been a thing for the longest time, and I think its better than the alternative huggers ignoring screetch and able to hugged downed marines. I do miss those days but I also do not. Runner drag is a nice comprise. Guess what if your a marine nearby who isnt stunned you can unstun your buddies by shaking them with helpful intent on. Ive seen this happen with the dragged since the queen tries to perma spit stun the draggee.

as a cerfified xeno goblin that always goes runner when t2 slots are full and queen off ovi do to the said thing, from the bottom of my heart, drag capping as runner is harded that it looks. maybe on lowpop its a bigger problem but thats more of a lowpop queen powerscale problem. but on highpop? you either a) get melted by SGs or just regular ungas, blown by nades from GL, shot by sniper cuz runners is a squishy boy with non existent HP nor any armor b) get bodyblocked by fellow xenos when you try to grab a guy, since everyone will try to kill him c) get bodyblocked on your way back cuz every xeno behind you now tries to push with scree or d) everything works perfectly and you got a cap.

you could try to cap as acider with his better HP and bit of armor (armor might be too low do apply any reduction from non ap ammo) but you trade that for speed, acider is slower than base variant.

my honest recommendation is to not give a shit if you perma or get capped as rifleman, its a working hazard (and part of the fun of the role at least for me). if dying as rifleman, you know the most expendable role marine roster has, is too much for you then just dont play it? or I dunno embrace fearRP, im over here trying to PB a queen with pumpy

Real goddamn HERO OF THE USCM right here. If all marines didn’t fearrp drag caps would be impossible. But on the flip, you have to conquer that fear, learn to not take the L too hard, or swap to a different role. In all honesty, I’m not the biggest fan of getting captured, and so I tend to play backline roles where I can avoid combat or stuff like Corpsman or even Rifleman with an XM88.

Sometimes, you don’t have to be faster than the sonic boom of a screech. You just gotta be faster than the guy next to you. I’ll salute 'em when I find 'em in a torn-to-shreds Hive.

You can’t be capped behind cades, I think seeing more use of sandbags, portiecades and so on would help this somewhat. Or just not having everyone grouped up.

That being said, I do think logistics is a nightmare at the moment, and just results in every bit of supply just being dumped at the LZ (and makes it a nightmare to sort out/find things), so a lot of supplies which should be used don’t get used.
