New Gamemode: Push the Cart

I been thinking about how to possible bring back the tank in its old glory for a while now.
And no, the Heavy Tank wont be able work in Distress signal. At all.
The only way one could make the Heavy Tank work is by kneeccaping it in other regards to the point where it is Stronger, but not fun for neither xenor nor Marines. It will best stay a ligth tank.

So how abou the Heavy Tank gets its own game mode?
The idea is very simple.

  1. Marines get a Heavy Tank
  2. Heavy Tank gets to be dummy strong.
  3. Xenos get some buff (more starting larva; Fancy gamemode exlusive building)
  4. Marine Win condition is to destroy a Uniqe Xeno structer that can only be destroyd by the tank.
  5. Xeno win condition is to destroy the Heavy Tank.

There would need to be a lot of things changed and figured out for this to work. DS alone.
But i think this is the best version we could ever bring back the Heavy Tank.
Distress signal isnt build for the Heavy Tank, so why not make a gamemode that is.
I say it like its easy, but this will definitly not be easy.
Just had that idea for a while now, first with a train that has a Haubitze in one cart. But i belive Heavy tank is better.
Its fun to drive a big fuck of Tank. Just have to make it fun to be on the other side of it.

Also, just saying. Push the Cart can also work the other way around with the xenos needing to push the cart. So it definitly wouldnt be a “only marines get new stuff” thing.
The chance to implement the giant Xeno from the ending of Dark Decent is too tasty after all.
Although i have a feeling that migth just end up as another WO.

i like the idea but i see an issue that the gamemode would need a map for it self because i dont see the the tank would like fit on some of the maps

oh yeah, it will need its own maps, special xeno buildings, FOB will work completly diffrent, ECHO console in req will be diffrent, comms needs to work diffrent, maybe CAS has t be yeeted for it.
Whole new game mode wich needs a TON of work.
But it will probs be fun.
Map is what comes near the end of it though. Mapping without a propper goal is what you do if you hate yourself.
