Update on the availability of the loadout:
A PR about nerfing janitorial buckets suddenly popped up, so within like 3-5 days this playstyle will no longer be available. Maybe I should’ve shut the fuck up because people dont like niche shit in this server. I like sharing good and niche stuff about games, but really taking this far just to remove a niche guy’s niche playstyle. It also indirectly nerfs the production speed of chen-based departments.
So it appears that this playstyle’s removal really did get into the crossfire of the Medical Rework. But I am baffled that after like after 12-2 days of this post going up, ONLY THEN the PR got up. This is not a “coincidence? I think not!”, situation but it sure feels like it, I agree. But guys, dont dogpile on the PR. Sure it’ll hurt the “janibucket is the meta for chem beaker mixing” culture of chem-based departments, but do make sure your arguments aren’t just pouring salt. Though I cannot say about the negative effects on the chem-based departments. My perspective on the PR? Basically another guy’s “jani bucket and hicap beaker sprites gets swapped, hicap gets more expensive because roleplay is king”.
Sooo uhhh when I was playing mini medic rifleman, I realized how much of a change in gameplay you can do by splashing chems on people instead of just feeding them normally.

Despite losing 50% of the original chems in the beaker/vial, it’s pretty handy at instead of waiting for 15 units, which also most of the time over-heals over the actual damage, you’ll just start healing without delay. Splash a marine and head your way.
This does mean you’re required to be good at sprite-clicking.
“Oh what about injectors.” They don’t hold 500 units like this playstyle does. I never burned through 50% of my buckets in a round honestly.
And also, usually each pill bottle carries 16 x 15 pills of the standard issued chems. So 240 units. Each bucket is technically 2 pill bottles worth of chems!!! AND you only use 10 to heal 25 brute (50% of the 10 because splash is nerfed)
So you basically have 50 pills in your bucket vs the 32 pills. You are less often over-healing, which means less wasted chems!
“The extra X chem from the 15-unit pills are basically premedding.” Sucks to have a perspective of meta huh? This aims to be efficient by only healing what’s required, not premed you. You wanna pre-med and get tackle-capped because you’re healing? Of course not.
“The flasks.” This playstyle aims to immediately apply the healing effect, not “here comes the choo choo train- chokes on chem” Typa shi.
“The injectors". My face when 500 unit beaker + vial for splashing vs 4 x 45 = 180 unit injectors. BUDDY INJECTORS ARE NOT WINNING VIA CAPACITY.
“The pill bottles.” 2 small sized items vs 1 normal sized item, you have another space for a tiny item. Put 5 buckets in a bag, you have a space for health anaylzer AND the beaker you’re gonna use. That normal-sized item carries 20 units more than your 2 pill bottles.
“But you have to sacrifice a bag slot/carry a bag on one hand.” Then dont use this playstyle. It’s that easy.
“I wanna try this loadout, but I’m having a hard time trying to actually use it.” One thing this playstyle requires is that you have good muscle memory on switching between bags, precise clicking between sprites… actually any dexterity-skill is required for this.
Thank you for listen to my yappathon of a rant about “Splashing chems on people is actually viable)
