Playing xeno takes more skill than marine

Xenos mad x 24.

That’s fucking wild because overall I’ve seen marines be WAY meaner/literally tell people to never play again for not playing perfectly then I’ve ever seen xenos be (unless it’s the queen then hoooooooo boy)

Like pretty sure I’ve seen more insults aimed at one medic in one round than I’ve seen total for my entire xeno playtime

Every time a Scout downs one xeno who wandered off like a lobotomized housecat, you get 5 xeno mains foaming at the mouth in dchat going “ugh scout needs nerf.”

Scout is made of wet tissue paper. If he messes up once, he’s paste. But xenos will still cry about it because their precious drone got impact juggled while doing his solo jungle RP. Meanwhile they’re out here with abilities that stun, 1-tap, and delete marines in 3 seconds if they aren’t actively moving like a hummingbird on crack.

But no, tell me more about how “OP” the marine with 100 HP and light armor is.

Xeno mains don’t want balance. They want to walk forward, hold left click, and never die.

Marine gameplay demands awareness, timing, and actual movement. Xenos just want to complain that something out there dares to punish them for being stupid.

Being jumped on by a lurker is like getting fresh cookies and warm milk instead of cold.
I’m killing myself.

Ngl in my experience xenos are more toxic

It just funnels down to two things, imo. Marines generally have newer players, and thus a sizable chunk of marines are always essentially ‘useless/detrimental(FF)’ in terms of combat efficacy. Marines also generally have about 200-300% the players that xenos do. The average marine won’t kill a single xenomorph, and the competent marines will usually only kill 2-3+ xenos on average before eating dirt. There is little pressure to ‘do well’, because the expectation is that you will be useless and die.
Oh, PVT Stanley killed himself 5 minutes after drop? Big deal. So what? There’s infinite latejoiners.
You just got burstfired into heartbreak from HPR Hero John Smith? Who cares? Sucks for you, but you’ll probably get revived by your metabuddy and it’s not like you’d accomplish a whole lot anyways. Even mass-FF incidents like grenades usually lead to most people surviving due to necromancer defib technology.

Xenomorphs however, usually have more experienced players, and there is a significant focus on quality. Everyone MUST pull their weight. The talls outnumber your sisters by an overwhelming margin, and everyone who isn’t a builder ought to kill at least several of the undying necromancy-wielding talls, lest the flood crush the hive. Every bald sister is a liability. Your progress to become a ultra-killer-fragger T3 hinges on whether that Young XX Warrior survives so a T3 slot unlocks eventually. Your best friend/lover Prime Ravager OWL is carrying half the frontline, and their survival hinges on EVERYONE doing their job, and not bodyblocking the ever loving shit out of you. If you get bodyblocked once, that could mean permanent death and exile to the 40-player long larva queue. Young XX Spitter died? Welp, now everyone suffers because T3 is delayed and the overall hive size has been cut down. Unlike marines, your latejoins are extremely limited by the number of caps and burrowed. You are not a nobody. By playing xeno, you have automatically become a valuable asset for everyone else, whether you like it or not. Play badly, and you fuck everyone over indirectly.

It’s kinda like LoL- Handful of players per team. One deadweight = team crippled, and the stakes are high. Xenomorphs obey the same rule, albeit less strictly due to more numbers- But you can see why xenos would naturally be more salty/toxic in general.

Take a look at the sentence ‘for playing perfectly’ -

Prime xenos are perfectionists. They demand others play exectly like them, in the most optimal ways otherwise they stomp and cry

High teir xenos have entire drama wars. Ive seen it many times. They have one play style and stick to it. They metagrunge the other player.

Yelling at someone incompetent is not the fucking same. I have never seen marine players purposely metagrunge/start drama at a bad medic. They get bad in the moment but there are many who offer to help improve that player.

Theres hundreds of marine nerfs throughout the years on CM. Shotgun chugging, medical ID locks on pill bottles, tank, unga juice removal so many countless changes designed to keep the top 1% of marines from stomping. All done by mainline xeno players.

Not to mention horrible examples like warrior stunning (it used to be so bad, but now marines have updated in skill, i barely get capped/removed from them) or the queen ‘edge stun’ (the invisible edge of the queen screech that doesnt drop you but prevents you from moving) that have been in for years.

The difference between prime xenos and marine mains is easy:

The prime fights to win and nothing else

The marine fights to have fun.

All of the commentators above are OBJECTIVELY INCORRECT. The most skillful role is not any of the marines or xenos. It’s the Corporate Liaison.

As a CL, one needs the proficiency of knowing the map (No tac map for you), filling out forms, staying in character. Most importantly, one needs to posess actual social skills to play somewhat efficiently and add interesting interactions to the round for other players. Something that most of SSCM13 players are lacking.

A Veteran CL must put up with marines trying to break into his office, trying to shoot him, walking on the ship naked, trying to rob CL, badmouthing him, insulting him, offending him (seriously, some people get a little too far with unprovoked insults and use some very strong language for a 2d spaceman game). He must fend off with just a pepper spray and a stun gun. CL must remain unbiased and unmoved in all of this (or at least pretend to be).
CL must put up with filling out forms, giving his all to the fax and recieving no responses. Dealing with taxes and MP trying to pose as an IRS agent. They must know Almayer by heart to navigate quickly and respond to any RP situation in the vicinity. CL must fight with the reality of no god: Not a single of his handled beacons will be answered. He must know all the maps by his soul as to calcualte whether marines will stand, roll, or fold and when to deploy for him instead. And how to act if an admin decides to do an “event” and throw him on the groundmap for funsies. And the gruesome fate of gambling for his roll.
Corporate Liaison… No. The Executive must confront the marines, the officers, the crew, the xenos and sometimes his own company people. Alone, barely armed, against the world, the atom and the quark.

And all of, in the end, is worth it. All of this sufffering and SKILL For the Capital, for the Weymart Stocks. And most importantly, FOR THE COMPANY.

Now you cant even use unga to heal. While lurker kills you with 2 slashes emoting *stares *tailswipe
