So, just finished a round as a pyro spec and I have a couple of thoughts I wanted to run past y’all.
1: Change the flamer nozzle to a barrel attachment to allow use at the same time as a UB extinguisher.
2: Allow the pyro spec to use the flamer nozzle with the M240-T, either replacing the UB extinguisher or as a barrel attachment in conjunction with above.
3: Add a M240-T smoke tank so that the pyro can use smoke & foam.
4: Add improved M240-T tanks to the research biomass fabricator.
5: Add a self extinguishing plate to the research biomass printer.
6: Allow tanks loaded in the broiler backpack to be removed directly, rather than having to replace them with a new one tank to get the old one out.
7: Alter the diagonal extinguisher plume to extinguish more than a single line of tiles to be consistent with the primary direction plume.
Thoughts and feedback appreciated!
I don’t know if this would greatly upset the balance of the force, but as a pyro spec enjoyer, I’d like these changes
Pyro spec flamer should be full auto imagine how much fun it would be
honestly tho the first one would be a nice thing for both spec and normal flamers
smoke tank wouldnt be so useful in HvX, but a tear gas variant would be neat for HvH
It’d be nice but then there would be LITERALLY no reason to choose between them both if they can both go on at the same time and I think we should encourage people to make different decisions on their loadouts.
The spec flamer can’t take the nozzle at all, which is the big reason I’m requesting the change.

The entire point of Pyro spec is for area denial and purely that, so I don’t think it makes sense to let them use the nozzle.
I must disagree. One of the major issues I ran into while playing pyro was the lack of precision. The ability to precisely target specific tiles would be really useful when pushing. Currently I found myself having to flame a large area, then carefully reposition to extinguish exactly the tiles I needed to. The end result was I stalled pushes rather than being able to actually assist. Also, the ability to hit weed nodes is really useful.
I would be happy with one single change:
Pressing E to draw your primary will draw the Pyro flamer on your backpack instead of your sidearm pistol/whatever
I hate this “feature” so much, because my experience with regular flamers gives me a muscle memory of what weapons and hotkeys to use at what times, and the Pyro flamer is the reverse of it all so I keep pulling my pistol when I want to use my flamer and my flamer when I want to use my pistol.
