Management is probably already informed because of a round but I’ll put it here as a more direct forum thingie
I’m not sure when but management made a ruling that queen can’t keep their own hive from fighting such as forcing them to sit in caves for no reason or holding them back from a fight for no reason. However can hold their forces back for a short while in order to conduct a plan as long as it isn’t keeping them from fighting in a reasonable amount of time (as far as I am aware)
The issue is it isn’t clear on what is “Reasonable” and what is not “Reasonable” on the holding them back part.
Holding them back for a meme strat and not a proper reason is perfectly unreasonable, however if its more of a reasonable based thing such as “Lure the enemy into this area then have them strike” within like 5-15 minutes (depending on how fast the marines move) then it shouldn’t be “Disallowed”
Both sides make their own plans to get their own fighters into the battle as soon as possible with certain ones taking longer depending on how it goes. Marine command already does this and can take a considerable amount of time to get their special operations done. However it would seem that if the xeno side wishes to do the same it can be met with extreme backlash from the admins.
That being said I believe the queen should be allowed to force their own forces to wait in certain areas for a reasonable amount of time if a certain plan calls for it. This only refers to “Reasonable” strats that the management team can decide on what is so and not the more meme aspect of it.
I kind of feel like being obligedto listen to the queen is an integral part of playing xeno, this attitude literally causes those “wait for marines to fight them in caves” orders take forever because the 4 or 5 xenos who refuse to listen tot he queen delay marines from pushing whilst they get 1 or 2 easily revivable kills before dying for themselves. Imo it’s basically softgriefing because youre just making yourself a free kill.
Sorry Queen I know you I’m meant to act as an extension of your will and follow your plan but you’re not prime empress so I won’t listen to you at all
It doesn’t actually work. I made an ideaguys a while back asking for it to be fixed, but the “forbid slashing” doesn’t actually do shit. And lots of the insubordinate xenos (usually the ones that just wanna frag) know that already and ignore the queen anyways.
The only way to mechanically prevent xenos from fighting is to ally the USCM, but if you do that you get bwoinked so like ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Not really good for the game since the only way xenos win is by forcing marines to unga away from the FOB. If you let xenos attack right away in a bad spot, like right next to FOB, 8 times out of 10 xenos lose to attrition since marines can just easily defib while xenos keep losing numbers and cannot cap since your right next to FOB aka you get Mortar / CAS’d and unga rushed easily.
Queen NEEDS to be able to force xenos not to fight in a certain area and if banishing people who do not listen to such an order is now against the rules, then there’s no real point of playing Queen since your forcing them to play the game like WO except theres no perma death for Marines and no respawns for xenos.
