This has been there for quite a bit and I think it makes little sense that the force that is responsible for shipside security has a marksman rifle instead of an AR for shipside defence/CQB. I rarely see anyone take it either.

BB SmartScope. MPs aren’t bug-hunting or squashing rebellions. The M4RA is likely the MP standard issue because of SmartScope. That’d be my reasoning.
Can MPs selectively revoke marine IFF privileges in the event of a mutiny? If so, that’s pretty cool.
Probably the main reason MP’s have DMRs instead of Pulse rifles is because They aren’t really a main force, they’re security not frontline soldiers.
They’re not really going to be out on the front which is why they have shotguns and semi auto rifles, worst they’ve got to deal with usually are just roudy marines.

Do the M4RA’s ever get taken and used?
If people aren’t bothering with them then I think they should be replaced with something people will actually use.

whenever im running around in hijack I like to use the m4ra, and I often run over to armory to grab the ammo that’s left there (because M4RA eats ammo like no tomorrow)

I would also like to say that MP’s have access to regular marine preps, so if you really want an M41 during hijack/whatever, just pop down there and grab one.
