I find it quite hilarious that many people will say that botany is easy, and while true if you’ve gotten used to it, but your average researcher will spend the entire round doing it. Like I’ve only recently started playing it theres only a handful number of people i can mention that can do it properly quickly, and that requires literally all their attention.
I recommend playing them and see how fast you guys can cook up really good stims without NST/MST and producing them. This way you guys can actually point out the problems more specifically and recommend suggestions(or code it) on how to nerf it so that they arent as busted. Also to understand how stressful and mind boggling is to play it, especially with others that could potentially ruin research by either blowing up the lab, not helping, or doing their own thing.
As I said before on this thread, NST/MST is the main combat stim components that basically make marines win, change that and research options can be more fairer to xenos(still a huge advantage yes, but less impactful)
make research much more IO-centric again | research would never accept it
The thing is, current research dont need them to do anything, but at the same time need them so they can do other more interesting stuff, like corrupted xenos, more points, stronger properties, and more.
