this stupid fr

this shit just “hide marine corpses so they perma” – (if) marines see the corpse (took a long long while) they gotta figure out how to drag it off (climbable surface)

xeno deadass saw my crit body was on fire (and thus likely wouldnt make it to cap) so sat here, taking bulletfire, for 10+ sec until i died

game respects game i won’t shit on the xeno but it’s against the rules, shouldn’t have shit that encourages it (cannot blame player for breaking the rules if the map encourages it)

then make an ahelp when it happens.

of course i did

it’s not exactly provable though unless someone checking timestamps for fucking tile movement and i dont think even href got that, bro

this thread is just more making a mental note for when i remap the entire game

I gotta ask. But what the hell am I supposed to see in the image?

so behind either one of those cars only about 15% of your corpse is visible and they’re elevated surfaces so you gotta do a fucky wucky to drag a body off of them

something i’d like to avoid when i remap hybrisa

hybrisa is great for the chokes and general hell that is “anywhere except the main path”, i love it for that, but exploitable stuff like that just aint fun

What did they do that was against the rules?

same reason you can’t hide a corpse, etc, if you’re gonna prevent a corpse from revival you gotta guard it, keeping it skill-based – can’t hide it like a lazy fuck

a (largely unenforceable) rule though, and i wouldnt want it enforced in this case, maybe the xeno was lagging or something and sat there for that reason you know? genuinely plausible im not fucking around

but maps shouldn’t ENCOURAGE shit like that

so itll be part of my hybrisa remap

When did hiding someones body become a rulebreak? I get walling it off, but just hiding it behind props or whatever? Can’t I hide bodies in the grass as well now?

As a xeno mind you.

i’d probably see it as up to the admin as the rule is pretty broad

but i feel like “yeah i INTENTIONALLY hid him in the grass” might get you noted – but anything other than outright admittance, like no admin is gonna shit on you for what is plausibly a coincidence (and is kind of a necessary tactic for xenos)

i mean you can’t drag dead bodies for a reason you know? – game respects game i know how it is but yea, you know what i mean

if medHUD was standard i’d fully support xenos doing shit like that, but it’s not

I am going to need an admin to clarify it then, since you just saying “its against the rules “ hold no meaning.

Are you going to claim that xenoes are affected by rule 4 against marines now? Are you going to report xenoes attacking medics who are trying to revive other people?

  • Xenos walling in marine or Xenomorph bodies with the primary purpose being to prevent recovery.

same spirit but i understand where you’re coming from

That is really stretching a metagaming rule.

there’s a notable difference between an unintentional map feature being meta and something very intentional (tall grass, which marines are able to cut and clear out)

it’s clearly unintentional and I just made this thread as a mental note for when I remap hybrisa

Cars are destructable, and people with a medhud sees your health hud through most props (example tall grass). The only unintentional thing (if this is the case) is that the car covers your medhud. Which could just be fixed by putting it a layer above said car.

Adding to what you said, if person in question is anyone that is even mildly important they have a BIG roleicon that would be sideways and very obvious that they are dead or unconscious there. And lets be real, the amount of times when i latejoin that I’ve been able to get a medihud from screwdrivering the helmets of the damned, It’s safe to say that medihuds are very common purchases anyway.
