Just came back after 9ish month Hiatus from the game due to work, family, and good old career burnout when needing to go on vacation and postponing it due to your dads cancer type of shit. Things have changed anyone got a summarized list of what happened over the past year change wise so I dont have to spend my days off combing over the patch notes?

this is probably gonna be a hodge-podge thread of random things that *probably *happened in the last ~9mo. since I doubt anyone remembers every significant detail (or has even played the entire 9mo.)
Some things otth:
ā¢ Engineers (Comtechs) can instead of a sentry now take a ārocket launcherā that can only target walls, and delete a 6-tile deep swathe in one windup. Ammo limited by req after the initial half-dozen rockets you can take.
ā¢ Xenos get 2 1.5 larva per nested cap
ā¢ Lurker-capping is still nerfed
ā¢ Some new maps
ā¢ Multi-Z a.k.a. slop where it might seem you can randomly start getting shot from nowhere. Thereās now a button that lets you look up a floor, your likely culprit is upstairs, which you normally canāt see without practively looking up all the time. Only the new maps have this so far, but multi-z Solaris might be in/out of rotation sporadically (depending on mappers/testing).
ā¢ Research got overhauled, no more guaranteed stims at 2hr mark, people actually need to know what theyāre doing even if they get all the apropriate materials. Stims get drained in large chunks from marines who get sentinelād or stunned by xenos in general.
ā¢ A couple new guns and attachments, new machine-pistol called M10, which is basically a marginally worse m39 with more generiously available AP ammo which you can effectively primary with an M10-kit from req. M37 (the default marine shotty) got a shotgun choke, which lets you larp as a shotgun primary by doubling firing rate and making it more accurate, but removes any kind of stun from any ammo - ghetto AP primary with fletchette, but still worse than actual AP primaries.
ā¢ misc. stat balance changes
ā¢ Hijack can no longer have cades on the ship (they will just be always pushable)
ā¢ Xenos get ānukeā now for holding - King caste that has a 3x3 gib and screen-wide light disabling abilities. Also generate āintelā for holding comms, which lets them buy powerful one-time boons, like limited-time fireproofing, damage, resistances or extra burrowed larva.
ā¢ A couple new āsupportā strains for Hivelord and Prae
ā¢ OT balance changes - slight nerfs on oppressive max-radius falloff availability. You will likely see a lot more screen-wide fire sticks that cause mass-FF.
ā¢ FOB doctor is now a dedicated role slot (1). Bonegel is finite - requires reloading shipside.
ā¢ A lot of Quality of Life changes and improvements, both functional and cosmetic (too many to list)

Someone is running around screaming āWeed Killer Specialistā in comms pre-drop and casually melts through weeds helping the marines chase xenos and generally be a good annoying muhrine for drone-caste xenos. They have a guide somewhere for playing as one.

Very cheap Xeno-ability disabler gas was discovered. (Also kills 50% of marines)

Oh and also nutriment got OD at 60 units.
Nutriment gas is banned cause of the new OD change and basically giving everyone free 30 units of nutriment.

Only thing I think is important is that you know what you are not allowed to say anymore. I highly recommend you look up on what you canāt call predators and what new words isnāt allowed. Rest you find out by playing. No point to come back to play if you say a word and you get yeeted into the sun. Most players that come back have done this mistake, I am just making you aware of this.
