Description of the incident:
I got lucky and managed to get a corrupted warrior during an LV round. Fast forward all the way to my deployment, I stumbled upon a dead marine and crit Predator body. I devoured the Predator and brought it to fob. It died upon being regurgitated and the only thing to do with it would be to strip it of its gear. I made indicative and suggestive emotes to strip it of its gear and then left. As a corrupted warrior, I am unable to speak normally with marines and can only emote. What I had said most definitely could have been worded better, possibly RP’ed better. Later at the end of the round, Grim dm’ed me asking why I had emoted ““indicates you should remove all of its gear”” and I gave my reason which was that I couldn’t have conveyed any other way to guide marines near the body to strip it of its gear. How it could have been realistically emoted is not an important matter, as it is still within RP guidelines and was not in any manner indicative that I was metagaming that a pred could have gear (i can literally see it, I know it is a headhunter as a xeno). I had also talked to nearby corrupted lurker CDV that they were idiotic and didn’t know how to strip. I would like the note removed, as I had not metagamed. It makes absolutely no sense that an allied corrupted xeno would not be allowed to ask for a request like that, through their only means of RP which is emoting. It would be the same as noting down a normal hive xenomorph aiming head to slash a mask off. Xenos know what headhunters are, they know that they can hurt/capture them, and I had came across a crit, defenseless predator body. I don’t believe I was in the wrong, and I only ask for the note removed. If anything, a precedent should be set for corrupted xenos as to what knowledge they are allowed to have as for being allied.

I’ve encountered the same situation with staff before, in a similar staff report regarding pred gear stripping. Resolved Staff Report - Hunk1

I don’t believe it is any different for a Corrupted/Allied xeno to want the body of a predator (which to them, is valuable in the sense of being a capture) stripped of its items.

I had recovered a predator body, and wanted marines to use it
They were messing around with it and didn’t strip it, and me and CDV were conversing about that. I also mentioned in hivemind that I was planning on bringing the body to the alamayer but it had died. I’d also like to mention that I was not specifying pred gear, nor any parts of what they owned. I was only gesturing to strip their body.

I was on the frontlines and was protecting marines from enemy hive warriors. They were in the darkness and marines were unable to see them and were pushing towards them (thus being lungeable). I pointed at the direction the warriors were in and also emoted. I believe me using the exact term “warrior” is a bit too much and rather I should’ve said something like “danger” or something similar

I forgot what I was going to do, but I know that I was attempting to do something but it didn’t work out so I simply emoted “lied”. Likely shouldn’t have and just kept quiet but I don’t know what alternative for saying “nevermind” to a marine when I can’t actually speak to them would be.

Earlier, I had seen another warrior with an IMP backpack on them, and recognized it. I asked for people near me to put it on me, and gestured to my sprite. This is likely the most wrongful thing I had done that round, but I really couldn’t have explained it to a marine any better. I was also conversing with a marine I had been with that round (and also pointing at my own sprite, which had the IMP backpack on) to put it on. Likewise, I don’t know any alternative wording to tell them to put stuff in the holstered backpack.

If anything, I was simply just trying to speak to marines with the only way that I could’ve. I didn’t metagame, and I don’t understand how I could be metagaming when most of the information that I have used had been either A: known already by the hive (headhunter/predator) or B: seen by me, personally in-game and my chosen actions.

I was here at the FOB with him as the MST, and he was struggling for quite a while to try to tell us what to do, at least from what I saw. He also made an effort to roleplay using /me for the rest of the round, when I saw him. None of us at the FOB knew what to do with the predator’s body.

Using emotes to communicate with humans as a xeno is by definition metacommunication. You are not intended to be able to talk to them, else you would be able to.
You are also hinting at them to do something based on metainformation that your xeno would not posses, a prime part of that being the concept of using tools/equipment.

Grimreaper did not breach policy in this instance, so no action taken.
