Simple idea: you lose punch and some slash damage, in exchange your lunge has +1 tile range, you move faster while grabbing/pulling, and when you lunge a marine, they are still stunned, but not knocked down, so they can tank shots for you as you fall back. This gives warrior a mix of survivability and a higher focus on capturing.
Maybe grabbing a human prevents them from setting off a grenade or shooting themself
yeah no i think if i want either of these effects i will choose to either release them or have better positioning while keeping my moveset, unnecessary for warrior, just aims to make it more frustrating
I think this strain needs more differences from base warrior, but the tradeoff of punch and slash dmg is a good start… worse tackling would be good too, so it can’t solo cap, and basically requires teamwork to succeed. Higher lunge distance and no knockdown is just that big of a buff that the caste should be situational and team oriented to create counterplay.
kinda opposite but i’ve been thinking if you remove fling and lifesteal passive in exchange for bonus 5 armor or maybe like 50 shield for the duration of lunge for little bit of survivability to make warrior more of a warrior
