I’m quite certain we do have signatures, they’re just not on by default. You can turn em on in the settings.

The statement of ‘WYCI’ is simply in reference to the fact that many ideas that people offer would likely have a very good, or certain, chance of being accepted but that it simply comes down to someone coding it.
The people in the community who can code are usually busy with their own projects, or don’t have the time to dedicate to a project.

People have real life obligations - school, jobs, families and otherwise - they need to take care of. It’s already a godsent that we have as many capable coders as we do (even if some PRs that end up merged can be of debatable intent). The fact that people dedicate time and effort for CM at all is honestly a miracle given that they aren’t paid to do so. Demanding that they do more is pretty stupid.
