Plot direction: First life as a child in an urban UA colony showcasing poverty and the disregard for human decency by the state and corporations. Joining the corp, becoming a marine.
A transition to something seemingly better than the old life. Discovery of human bonds, friendship and brotherhood. Development of a sense of self, finding reasons to fight besides escaping the past centered around brotherhood and maintenance of existing bonds.
First deployment, first human kill. Sense of life and living beings revised. Life in wartime, everyday struggle to cope and survive, loss of friends, trauma associated with the brutality of war. Showcasing of humanity at its worse, realization of his role both as a marine and as a human to the world and the system he serves. Desperate clinging to brotherhood and human bonds among comrades. Blurred moral compass, grey view of actions and the world, internal conflict, sense of self questioned. Repercussions of traumatic events in the form of intense nightmares, certain PTSD symptoms.
Post dog war, deployment in WY blacksite, first contact with xenomorphs and relevant bioweapons. Fight for survival against an unknown, ungodly, ruthless and deadly enemy. Cracking of the bonds through terror, fear, dread and survival instinct. Betrayal in the worst of circumstances. Despair with nowhere to turn to. The true nature of those he serves, ruthless, opportunistic, greedy, with complete disregard for human life, complete disregard for the pain and destruction they cause. Like parasites draining the life out of everything in the name of their ultimate goals and hubris.
