People found out the host was involved in editing 18+ fan fiction including under aged characters for money about ten years ago.

people in a VC call were trying to dig for dirt on frozen because of them banning the r-slur. they found out that in 2013 (11 years ago) while they were 12 they also edited fanfics (apparently they made $1000 dollars while 12 for it, grindset) for MLP stuff. apparently some of the characters in the written fan fic were below 18 so they tried making it out into a CSM thing and then the CM players did what all CM players did and just started making stuff up then got mad at the stuff they made up
for reference, i was in vc looking into frozents to see if he had continued this fanfiction engagement, as i was really shocked by it and wanted to make sure that he hadn’t - i had just come to the conclusion that he had not and i was banned from the discord
i think it’s important that we do our due diligence when these things come up, cp is not okay in any form
in no way was i ‘digging dirt’, nor do i particular care about the r word

to add onto that, i don’t believe that i ‘doxxed’ him, as I only looked him up and found the information he was willing to give away and used it to look for more details, that being his name and city of residence as of at least 5 years prior - the others who were in vc can confirm this

Have you considered not looking into somebody’s past in a public VC? Maybe look into that privately (or not at all) and selectively share stuff that actually needs to be shared?

My guy this doesn’t look good, "I do not believe I doxxed them, I only used a trail of info online to find personal information of theirs while in a VC of people who were trying to doxx them’
doxxing isn’t from 4chan h4ck3r man busting someones account password to find their personal info, doxxing is following the trail of publicly shared info to get more info on a person. thats why it is so common online because people overshare and these trails can be followed to gather more info

what do you deem as ‘need to be shared’? i was looking with them in case i missed anything, especially given that these links are mostly scraped by bots and are 10+ years old
all of the information was independently accessible
i was looking for any activity regarding forums, as it happens, the vast majority of what was there was blogs and planet minecraft forums, i don’t know in which way you expect me to investigate this except by such links
understand that the intention was not to garner information to harm him in any way, otherwise i could’ve just as easily looked at twitter instead of the old stuff i went through links to find

I do not disagree with you. If someone is doing evil it is our moral obligation to do something about it. It is my current understanding that Frozen has not done that. I may not like the man and what he had said about our community but I draw a line the sand at doxing.

how did you come to this understanding? i merely made sure, and obtained no further information than the city and his name, that much is undeniable, but i dont believe that that constitutes doxing nor any risk to him, this information was publicly available in multiple places
