Your appeal:
I first did this ban appeal in the CM13 Playtest steam forum but everything got wiped after the proper game release so I will move my appeal to the official forums, it’s a bit weird having to make a byond account purely for appealing a ban. Also for the “Is your copy of Windows legitimate?” part. I don’t use Windows anymore.
After being community banned I decided that it might been for the best to quit CM13 altogether, at least when it comes to the community part along playing the game as I didn’t see myself writing an appeal in any near future. However, as time goes on, things change. SS13 as itself? It’s rotting man it’s really just Russian servers and ERP servers and it’s getting absurd, I have been playing for this game for I believe almost an entire decade at the time of me writing this with CM13 being my top server for a long time. Sure we have other servers like TGMC that is highly similar, however when it comes to being a high population where it focuses on being one of many that is CM.
When I saw that CM had its own twitch channel I kind of went to check it, decided to watch a few rounds when I had nothing to do and threw a few Twitch primes because I really don’t use them. Then CM appeared on steam, I got invited to the play test by somebody else and I thought to myself, that since it does not use the main byond account I could play a few times until I get caught. Except it doesn’t work on linux, even when installing the proper dependencies. Since CM is going to fully release in steam I imagine there’s going to be a bit of a pop spike which is why I am appealing my community ban.
As I said before, I gave up on CM and focus on other things but I had fun when I played CM. I enjoyed it. Playing with people I usually chat with, fragging and in general just shooting xenos. Sure I might not be the most model of a player as the previous ban appeals indicate and I really believe that just going “hey man I am sorry” is not going to fully go as the actions I did on what got me banned already happened and a written apologize is just that. Instead, reflecting on my actions, doing what I did on a public channel was obviously not the correct thing as with things like that has to be DMd or properly staff reported.
I really don’t want to go with the “Hey here is why you should unban me” but I believe that is the point of ban appeals too. I think I add value to the rounds I play, I don’t know how much CM has changed beside people telling me occasionally, but when I played I really went hard with the APC or providing normal stun support with the MOU53 running slugs as marine. And also chatting in the discord and throwing one shitpost sometimes.
Now that I am done with what I wanted to say, I think I wouldn’t mind still being banned in the discord. Most if not all of my bans have come from that place while I believe I have a low history note ingame and I think a 3 hour ingame ban.
