So honestly just work with the intel team or cover the backlines and put blue flame on runners or something and you’re useful.

If marines are pushing a choke and the enemy is on the run, make sure to light the Frontline on fire. This will give everyone a chance to chill for a minute. Marines will love you for this and shower you with compliments.
