Hello there, finally you decided to be the winner of the hearts, maybe fed up with the fighting like me. Anyways welcome to the secret arts of the kitchen, I’ll be your host Yiğit Kemal Gündoğdu, and teach you my tricks to cook en masse to feed our beloved troops and the crew.

So let’s get started.
As chefs, our main goal is to support our folks with our behavior and food. So be kind and be helpful.
As you can see our role is more likely based on roleplaying. Try to ask what people want to eat and take orders by the phone from the phone at the galley.
You have to be sure these four places have meals;
1-)CIC
2-)Medbay
3-)Requisitions
4-)Ordnance Workshop
And also don’t forget to make food packets for the flight crew.
The reason why we should keep these places stocked with food is they can’t go out and place orders in the Mess Hall. So most of the time you have to call them like
Cook: “Good morning, would you like to have breakfast service ?”
CIC: “Yes please, I would like to have English Breakfast”
Cook: “For how many?”
CIC: “For 3 people”
Cook: “As Drinks?”
CIC: “OJ and 2 Cup of tea, Thank you”
Cook: “Thank you, the order will be there in 3 minutes.”
Even if they are not pushing orders or are too busy to do it, be sure they have enough food, especially the Medbay because the wounded marines will have to eat too.
So we set the communication aside, let’s start with the basics.
Mise En Place
This is our keyword, it means to set up, let me explain to you,

This is our microwave, the heart of our kitchen after the galley equipments, you have this in two one in the service area and one in the galley. If you going to cook something you have to set up your ingredients around it. You have five blocks around you to utilize, for example;
Let’s cook some tacos for lunch.
- 1 Dough Slice
- 1 Cutlet
- 1 Cheese Wedge
As you can see we have 3 items that already have been processed, so make the dough by mixing egg and flour, and cutting it with a knife. Set that aside to block one.
Cutlet is the meat that is cut with a knife but needs to be pre-cooked so cut it and set it on block two cook it and set it on block two again.
For cheese wedges you have to make some cheese by mixing milk with enzyme, after that, you can cut it with a knife which gives you the cheese wedges, so set them to block three.
There you go! You just did a mise en place, remember you always have to organize stuff and make stuff in big batches, you won’t get full on fancy ;).
Also don’t forget to send food to the ground, folks will appreciate it. You always have 2 crates one cold box and one trash cart.
Fill them with food, and take them to the req, also never forget to make some cakes or sweets for the extra morale.
Oh also don’t forget to give the blue bottle inside the ColdBox to the OT, they will appreciate it because it will be used for the paraformaldehyde.
Running Low On Supplies
If you depleted your fridge supplies, don’t worry you have a vending machine in the galley to resupply everything.
Also, you have your garden at your disposal to grow some vegetables.
And sometimes ASRS likes you and sends you the extra supplies, if Req is kind enough they will call you for the supplies to take it.
Tips and tricks
- Don’t forget to assign a button to “interact with other hand action”. It works best when you are making sandwiches.
- Don’t forget to process Carp meat with the Food Processor to remove carpotoxin before cooking.
- If you cooking en masse try to use alt-click on pile there will be a list on the top right so you can easily reach whatever you need.
- Do not try to remove eggs from the box one by one press Z to dump them on your tile .
- If a box is empty press z to fold them away when it’s on your hand. Empty boxes create confusion.
- When you hear the microwave ping, click on it and stuff the next ingredients in, do not wait for the light to go off.
- Whenever you can, get a labeler for boxes, naming boxes will help to get organized.
- Fold the cartons in the galley to make boxes.
- The boxes are the best when you send things to the ground, just stuff them in there.
- Do not slice cakes or pizzas when sending it. It takes more space and in the end, you will send less food.
- Be creative, look up real recipes when people order menus and imitate them.
