Jasper
Provide a short description of your synthetic’s backstory
Jasper is a Synth specifically designed to be able to work in mining colonies either as a miner due to his strength, a technician repairing trucks or as the medical doctor in the mine. He was bought buy the UNMC to assist all departments of the UNS Almayer be it medical, Engineering or logistics. Jasper’s primary function is to enhance crew efficiency and mission readiness throughout the entire ship.
Describe your synth’s personality without mentioning their skills or previous professions
Jasper will meticulously complete tasks making sure that every objective is fulfilled with absolute precision often double checking his work simply to ensure a flawless result. However Jasper can he can be considered cold due to an incomplete understanding of human nuance, often not understanding jokes told to him by enlisted often just giving either a blank stare, fake laugh to please the joke teller, or taking the joke seriously.
How would your synthetic interact with enlisted personnel, officers and civilians? How could you involve your personality into these interactions?
As Jasper was made for the UNMC he would interact with Officers like normal enlisted personnel giving a salute when passing on the Almayer and obviously showing them the utmost respect answering any questions or doing any tasks they require. He would also refer to officers by rank over name.
Jasper would interact with Enlisted personnel like an equal addressing them with a calm professional tone. When saying a Marines name he would respond by rank then name. He would be supportive of a marines actions and answer any enlisted personnel’s questions however cold he may seem. There can also be times that during a conversation it would seem almost like he is observing conversation rather than talking.
How Jasper would interact with Civilians would remain similar to other interactions with enlisted personnel however he wouldn’t reveal anything specific about operational details that could impact opsec example being he wouldn’t reveal things like the kinds of orbital bombardment shells the UNMC had to a pizza delivery person cause they just don’t need to know that.
Why do you want to be a synthetic/why should we whitelist you?
One of my favorite moments was being able to talk to Malcom as a Xeno or when as Xenos we tried to get a surv synth to reveal the location of the survs and i just love that part of synth. This is why i wish to apply for synth is just i love RP with synth players and I’d love the opportunity of different and unique RP situations with both the marine and xeno factions.
What is your most memorable interaction with a synthetic?
Synthetic Character Story:
“Easy there Lance Corporal, you have sustained a fracture in your thoracic region breathing deeply will increase discomfort”
“Yeah, no kidding. Feels like a mule kicked me in the ribs.”
“That comparison is anatomically plausible.”
“..It was a joke, Jasper”
“Oh right sorry about that”
Jasper moves the patients hands off off there chest “I’m going to start cutting now you should feel mild pressure”
“Mild? Jasper, if you—AH—!”
Jasper tilts his head. “your response indicates pain exceeding predicted parameters.”
“no kidding”
Jasper grabs out his autoinjector of oxycodone and carefully lines it up to the patients veins before injecting. “I have increased your dosage of oxycodone your pain should be lowered now”
He continues his procedure carefully applying bone gel to the affected area and placing the bone back in place before closing the marine back up. “The procedure is now done”
The marine puts his hand to his chest “yeah it feels better i guess… still a bit painful though”
“That is to be expected” Jasper helps the marine raise marine to his feat " Your pain should decrease over the coming hour but make sure to not sustain any more damage to the afflicted location as the bone will likely break again"
“Thanks, Jasper. You’re cold as ice, but you get the job done.”
Jasper blinks “My internal temperatures are regulated to a specific degree, I am currently not cold”
The marine gives a little chuckle as he walks out of the medical tent “you sure are a weird one Jasper, thanks”

How familiar are you in CMs support roles such as medical/engineering/requisitions/command and which of them are you more and less proficient in?
Ive been recently for the most part playing Doctor and field Doctor recently i can do pretty much every surgery other then replacing the head of a synthetic cause its just never come up in my time playing. I understand how to make most meds on the Chem line like UNGA, MB, KD and the such. I’ve also played a bit of research so I know how they work. I have an understanding of requisitions and have even done some rounds recently as a solo req tech that i think went quiet well. Engineering is the support role id say i have the least proficiency in although i plan to alleviate this by playing more MT and CT. I’ve also played enough command to understand how everything works having done some aCO rounds as SO now and then
What are some scenarios that you can perform combat in? Give us a brief example.
Scenarios that would require combat would be few and far between but some situations where combat could be needed are
when I’m evacuation a injured marine say a runner or lurker is trying to attack a couple hits to scare the runner off should suffice as the injured marine takes priority over trying to frag the runner
Other scenarios could be when Xenos have hijacked the Almayer so we are in delta say Jasper maybe a doctor and nurse are trying to get to the escape pods a lurker pounces the nurse Jasper could attack the lurker chasing it a bit but returning to the doctor and nurse to help them evacuate.
