Add the FBI for CLF transport.

Given that the FBI still exists and that their main job is countering domestic terrorism and the CLF are seemingly considered domestic terrorists as they receive sedition and CLF prisoners usually have nothing to do after being arrested by the MP’s, I suggest adding the FBI as a ERT designed to transport the CLF prisoner to a different ship, after this the marines will be rewarded with something for capturing a terrorist and the FBI can either talk with the prisoner or the prisoner can be sent back to the main menu and given the choice to play as someone else, this way marines have an actual incentive to arrest a CLF squad instead of just gunning them down, and CLF prisoners don’t just sit in perma all game doing nothing.

This idea is partly inspired by the old idea for OWLF and pred bodies.

I believe the squad should consist of 1-2 FBI agents, and 3-5 FBI Swat acting as bodyguards for the agents.

For the equipment:

Agent: Equipped with a black suit, IFF tie, M3-VL body armor and a pistol.

Swat Team Leader: Equipped with a blue or black version of an MP uniform similiar to the MARSOC version of the standard Marine uniform, MP armour (Or some M3-L with a Black colour pattern), a gas mask, a Pulse rifle and a pistol.

Swat Team Breachers:Same uniform as team leader, armed with a shield, M37-17 Pump Shotgun and a breaching shotgun belt or Breaching hammer.

Swat Team Standards: Same uniform as the rest Armed with an SMG and Pistol.

It’d be a neat little thing, I’m sure if someone could scrounge some decent looking sprites it’d be a fairly easy addition to the game. Make it an admin ERT for events.

We do have the UAAC-TIS, but they are basically the in-universe CIA, so it’d make sense if we had a internal security agency.

I really like that idea. it will be funny to see to seeing how any times the CMB get called on req, the comms exploded with lads screaming ‘OH SHIT ITS THE FEDS’.

It will also be nice to have some soul for if the CMB have to call in back up for a event to get some FBI to come in.

Here’s what i think they should look like.

the top being FBI Swat and the bottom being an agent.

Top consists of two covert military contractors and Marsoc with Urban light armor, Bottom is CL with Black suit pants, Black suit jacket and sec glasses.

Note: They won’t actually be marsoc and covert military contractors if implemented, this is just an illustration of what they should look like using pre existing ERTs, additionally it won’t be Marsoc and MCC based, just one of them, i just used both of them because i couldn’t decide which looked better as SWAT.

This would be nice if it’s not restricted to events but can be sent by trial mods and above through fax conversations meaning feds will appear more often rather than once every few weeks.

Hell yeah. More fun RP ERTs are always a good thing. Also gives aCO/CO an actual reason to not kill CLF on sigth sounds very fun.

Only addition i would suggest is that the FBI’s ERT base has eqipment for “Enhanced interrogation techniques”. Electro shock bags, telescopic batons, just some poisens. All that jazz. So its more lore accurate.

FBI agents should have the ability to glow in the dark for more lore accuracy

What do you think the IFF tie is for?

Whilst it makes sense for any in-universe FBI to make usage of similar gear to what the Marines use, I feel it would nonetheless be important to ensure they look distinct enough in appearance to not be easily confused with a Marine or similar ERT.

I agree, this is mainly just to visualize what they should look like.

Here’s two versions that i think might be an improvement, instead using riot officer as a base.

However, if someone were to code or sprite it here’s what I’d suggest for the FBI SWAT’s Design: Older versions of both the M10 and M3, named something like M5 Helmet and M1 armour, Both coloured in black, For the uniform it should be something like a Dark Blue/Black UA Utility Uniform, they should be equipped with either RC-6 Face shields with balaclavas or Just gas Masks or SWAT masks.

people dont like ‘torture’, im pretty sure that that’s against the rules here

I mean, for one its only RP.
And also, that would only make it more lore acurate if the FBI did Enhanced interrogation techniques even though its not supposed to.

Nah mate, you’re thinking UAAC-TIS, those are the torture guys.

Ok so after some thinking i’ve thought this up for a potential reward: For every CLF member captured, the marines get a member of the Hostage Rescue Team, the Reason for this being explained as the HRT members are being provided due to the fact the marines have encountered a major domestic terrorist squad, every HRT member will be the standard SWAT team but equipped with Mk2 Pulse rifles or M4RA’s instead of just SMG’s and shotguns.

The reason I came up with this idea for a reward is because I read this on the HRT wikipedia page.

Alternative rewards maybe: Increase in tech points (Because they’re extracting intel from the CLF member) or Something like an increase in req’s budget/allowing req to buy something new (Because the FBI works with both the Coast guard and Marshals both of whom enforce trade laws, so the FBI has influenced the Marshals and ICC to do something that will help the marines as a thanks for capturing the Terrorists.).

Personally I think the first Idea is unlikely to be accepted as it would probably be considered too close to foxtrot but worse, but the idea’s for Tech and Req might be.

i quite like this idea as it will give the CLF member a way to rejoin the round.

Think ive got their ERT base worked out, in the main anyway, still needs a little more flavor added to it

I would caution that adding an entire ERT base is not only going to be a time-consuming task, but that it will likely take a long time before your base gets reviewed by a maptainer, and I can guarantee they’ll be asking for more changes (One hint, they’ll ask you to add semiotics to the map). Comparatively a FBI ERT that just added the ERT would likely be quicker to review (though my Forecon ERT is almost 1 month old so, don’t expect a quick merge).

(I’d also suggest trying to add a fake set of stairs/ladders to imply the ship is larger than it actually is)

I’m also adding a dedicated USCM style ERT station which might be a good base to draw on for future UA aligned ERTs, which is already awaiting review.
