Enforcement Action Taken

Description of the incident:

I was rolebanned from survivor and bodyguard for “dodging their [my] CL jobban by rolling WY survivor and was acting like a CL.” I find these rolebans to be rather arbitrary and unwarranted, as I at no time ‘acted like a CL’ from what I can tell. At no point did I assume command of the office nor the additional WY guards that were sent in later that round. At no point did I even so much as send a fax or even participate in the sending of a fax. I would kindly request some specifics, some empirical evidence that suggests that I was trying to circumvent a role ban. From my perspective, I was playing a supporting role to the CL, as I never once tried to overtake their role. My entire squad had perished on their own, and the starting CL was also dead. I was doing my best to aid the acting CL and even followed her orders to barricade research (I did not realize that was impossible and the foritfications never really locked down). I’m genuinely curious as to the reasoning behind this, as I was banned the round immediately after, and was rather shocked. The most I can think of is having asked the CL for fresh clothes and then wearing a skirt. Despite appearances, I would consider that my actions themselves did not reasonably warrant the claim of a ‘jobban evasion’. It also does not make sense to me that the bodyguard role would be banned from me as well, given it had absolutely nothing to do with the reasonings given by NessiePendragon for my new jobban. Bodyguard and CL are entirely separate roles with drastically different playthroughs. One is a corporate executive and the other is a subservient follower and protector. I have not violated any rules as far as I can tell as bodyguard, (and I think I carry out the role rather well, I do enjoy playing with other CL players) so that is what seemed the most excessive to me overall. On a closing note, I would like to mention that I did indeed recently appeal my CL jobban, which was denied on the basis that I have not played significantly in the past three months and there was no evidence to show a jobban appeal might be warranted. This also factors into my playing of WY characters, aside from the fact that it is the only faction I truly enjoy playing as. It is not my intention to evade a ban by playing them, but to provide evidence that would warrant the removal of said ban. I humbly request that the staff or NessiePendragon themself review the logs of this cited round so it can be made clear where I allegedly attempted to evade a ban, thus warranting these new jobbans that to me seem very arbitrary. I would like to understand, if nothing else, where I went wrong here.

Evidence:

I only have the admin notes of the bans, sorry I didn’t really record or gather evidence of the round in question. I humbly request the logs be pulled, thank you!

I thought I might add that in the WY office prior to the WY bodyguard update (now removed, again), WY survivors regardless of role usually had access to the WY office already on their IDs, which is what I requested as a WY security officer. I believe there were claims I requested a CL ID, which are untrue and not based in reality. There is a small possibility that the CO might have changed my ID to say CL, which I at no point requested nor noticed if such took place and to my understanding it did not. The shipside security officer had ordered us to get IFF, which I did not realize I already had, and as he was handling my ID I requested the shipside office access, which, prior to the TEST MERGE, was already regularly present.

Looking at this my opinion is that it comes down to differing perspectives resulting in different interpretations of what was done. But I don’t think Nessie acted incorrectly based on the information to hand.
