Description of the incident:

I was playing as a CT, who was deployed to FOB to handle groundside requisitional duties.

I prepared the FOB crates and tents, and with the ASO’s word, I went to the groundside first drop. I was careful to stay within marines and in safe areas, and immediately set up my tents and threw up barricades to ensure I was always in a secure area. Once that was established, I immediately laid out and presented things I had brought and opened my line for requests. FOB was not secure (the entire time I was down there), and xenos were consistently killing marines. I ensured I was safe by erecting a cadeline around the tents and protecting the opening with claymores. It was not safe for me to leave it except for emergent circumstances. I was only able to set this up because I managed to set it up before the swarm of marines from the initial drop left FOB and kept me safe. About 15 minutes into deployment, Todd ‘Ikea’ Winton is at FOB. He jumps over my table and flips it. I begin shoving him for grabbing random stuff and stealing from my tents and kick him out. He begins punching me during this, and then stabs me (all without saying a word), and runs away. I believe this was a violation of escalation rules because no sane reasonable person would hop over a table wordlessly and flip it, start punching the person trying to stop them, and then stab them after they get removed to stand in a ONE-person line.

About an hour into the round, Staff Officer Aimise deploys to the FOB. Almost instantly after landing, she runs over to my table while I’m on the phone, hops over, and starts grabbing things wordlessly. I tossed her on the table and pushed her out of the area, as I would do if anyone randomly jumped over the req line shipside to take things without a word. After tossing her out, I tell her there’s a line and to use her words. I began serving the person standing in line, after which Winton jumped over and began attacking me wordlessly. He jumps back over, attacks me again, begins slamming me into my table, and throws me out of my tent. He tells me to “fuck off” and calls me a “cunt” ??? and then continues to keep stealing from me, and then attacks me again when I try to stop him and make him stand in line.

Finally, after getting him about, another Darius Bould, hops over and begins trying to steal, and while I attempt to remove him, Winton begins destroying my cades with a knife, endangering me for no reason (since FOB wasn’t even built at that point, and the cades were necessary for my safety. The table was secured with claymores). I manage to get him out, when an SG (Augustus J. Carnegie) joins Winton in destroying my cades (wordlessly, too). I managed to wrestle the knife away from Winton, but I got shoved down before I could take the machete away from the SG. Them unreasonably destroying cades to keep supplies and me safe and secure from xenos (when FOB STILL was not secure) is a violation of rule 4, no griefing. “Griefing is the intent of one player wanting to cause grief or annoyance to other players or the server without a valid roleplay reason.” There was no reason at this point that they couldn’t simply ask (or even point) for supplies when nobody else was in line. They only wanted to harm me and cause annoyance, all while destroying cades to keep medics safe (I was allowing medics to come in to use it for safety).

At this point, I started to get ransacked and all while being attacked, I decided to bring out my folding chair in hopes of stunning them long enough to fix my barricades and get them out so I wasn’t in danger, especially since I was a CT (who is bound by the rules to stay in safe areas without good reason). The SO returns, and I try AGAIN to remove her but at this point, there’s a mob of marines attacking and ransacking me who she’s encouraging, so I am still trying to use the chair. Another PFC, Leif A.W. Mauser, wordlessly joins the brawl, begins attacking me, and starts punching me while I’m down. Angel Hunter then gets involved and tells them to get cable cuffs. I get up, and the SO returns.

The SO says she’s going to get cable cuffs, and I continue to get stun locked and buckled to a bed so I cannot escape, and getting beaten and kicked by the marines for trying to stop them from destroying my cades. All while getting beaten and held down, I plead for them to stop destroying the cades, yet they continue. The SO then proceeds to handcuff me in an UNSECURE FOB and tells marines to continue assaulting me and holding me down on TOP of an OT CLAYMORE. They continue to hold me adjacent to the claymore while xenos breach the FOB. They stood there holding me down while the xeno slowly walked around the entirety of the landing pad and was running up to me. This is blatant grief and they continued to hold me down until the xeno triggered the claymore, instantly killing me and destroying supplies in my tents, and our ammo supply.

The SO then proceeded to take me away from my medic who revived me, ordered my arrest, and began to frame me for crimes I never committed. She has me arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, tells my boss I was a lunatic and was making issues, and bucklecuffs me on the Alamo and forces MPs to arrest me. I was deaf for 90% of what she was saying so I would like logs pulled. But this is malicious compliance, as she was actively helping marines tear down cades and endanger me for no legitimate reason (I asked her to use her words to request supplies) and then tried to turn around and get me brigged for 25 for defending myself. She acted unbecoming and violated the roleplay rules of an officer here since there is no reason she can’t be held to a higher standard to type three letters “MRE”.

I was able to get away and I explained what happened to an MP, who luckily was understanding and was letting me file an APOLLO ticket to try and get IC intervention. I spoke with the CMP about what happened, but the people involved ended up dying and no IC intervention was able to take place.

I believe it’s worth to mention I requested an MP escort multiple times from command (and I believe the SO who answered my first call was Aimise, the second time it was the Captain afaik) to prevent this, and I repeatedly tried to stop disarming and just shuffle people out and try to de-escalate. When I got to the Almayer, I found the MPs torturing an MT in the interrogation cell. I never used anything more deadly than a chair after I had been stabbed repeatedly and assaulted. I also filed a ticket around the claymore part, however, that wasn’t resolved in time to see IC action, and they were dead by the time it was picked up. I had to go, but I was told I couldn’t receive ckeys for reports in a second ticket I filed. It’s also worth noting that it’s pretty obvious that people should ask, and shouldn’t come in, considering I was sitting at the desk taking orders, and there was no way in for anyone except climbing the table. I also consistently tried to ask if I could help people or take their orders.

I believe Eka ‘Madhatter’ Aimise broke rule 4, no griefing, by unreasonably inciting marines to mob me because I asked her to stand in line (she was the only person in line) and ask for what she wanted. I believe she also broke rule 10, lethal force, by encouraging and helping marines restrain me in a dangerous and unsecure FOB, and then holding me down on a claymore until a xeno blew me up. I believe she violated the malicious compliance rules for ordering my arrest (for 25 minutes) and framing me because I was trying to stop her and others from destroying the req area groundside. I also feel they edged on violating roleplay rules for officers considering they repeatedly and wordlessly climbed over tables while someone was trying to help them, and then incited a mob to attack them when they weren’t allowed to.

I believe Todd ‘Ikea’ Winton broke rule 4, no griefing, for repeatedly destroying my cades and endangering me, and other medics, because I asked him to use his words or stand in line to request what he wanted. I believe they violated the lethal force rule, for repeatedly stabbing me and then helping hold me down while others assaulted me, all because I tried to get him to talk.

I believe Augustus J. Carnegie violated the no griefing rules for, again, wordlessly attacking and destroying my cades (they legitimately never said a word while I could hear them) and endangering my, and medics lives, for no reason.

I believe Leif A.W. Mauser violated the no griefing rules after, once more, mobbing and attacking me because I was trying to restore order and prevent people from destroying my cades. She also violated the lethal force rules by helping hold me down on the claymore while a xeno blew me up by proxy. She also violated the bigotry rule, using slurs against me, calling me “retarded”.

I believe Angel Hunter violated the lethal force escalation policy by encouraging marines to get cable cuffs, assaulting me, and helping hold me down on the claymore as again the xeno exploded me by proxy. He also violated the bigotry rule, using slurs against me, calling me “retarded”.

I don’t believe Darius Bould was guilty of breaking any rules. I understand that petty theft (he took food and garbage) isn’t against the rules, although it was annoying.

Hi. Ruby Fairwight. Bravo Corpsman of this round. After the mob of like four marines got finished cuffing you I was eventually the one holding you over the claymore that I overlooked, as I was moving you back toward the Alamo Pad, Though I think Eka grabbed you off of me? Not totally sure. When a lesser drone, who melted south cades came over and did the funny causing everything to explode.

A couple things. Firstly, the Claymore was placed in the main walking area within the FOB, litterally directly east of the Alamo doors. No I didn’t notice it at the time. Secondly I’m pretty sure you placed it, as you were the one that had the OT claymores on your shelves at one point. And you had claymores within your own “Req” area.

I was the IO at the round “Darius Bould”, i am not being reported here but i saw most of the situation and also was involved in it, to my view the CT making a requistions at FOB and that makes no sense and the CT was potentially almost breaking rule 4, when i was playing i saw no supplies in the FOB for a good while and i was asking my self why and even said on command channel, until ofcourse i noticed the mini req you had build.
Ofcourse upon notice that, as a normal player i was trying to get the supplies back for everyone and not in a goddamn mini req then i jumped over the table and you started to shove me and even attacked me with a chair that i ignored, it is good to point that in the process of shoving i had shoot my shotgun in a random direction, i don’t remember clicking with the the intention to hit ,but it was not on the CT direction and it did not hit her, after that i did it a few more times and “stole” the supplies that were on your mini req side and put some flares ,MREs, buckshot into the field outside it.
I watched the situation unfold with the SO and other marines that were not happy with the mini req you had built, that ofcourse makes no sense at all that depending on who judges this can be aknowledge of as a grief, who in their right mind goes out of their way to gather all the supplies that are supposed to go for everyone, put them in a crate and people have to ask you to pick up them one by one, ofcourse that will slow down the rate of how many marines can resupply themselves and get back on the battlefield, affecting everyone groundside.
I saw most of the reason you went for jail when people were jumping over the table to get the supplies that are for all marines, and that included the SO that you attacked her with a chair, SO called it assault and many marines already enraged on that situation shoved and attacked you, not enough to kill but i remember seeing your health on the hud and it had 40-50%, SO called the MPs ,when i quickly left to a position and could not see it anymore, i heard an explosion and you were dead with other marines injured and the SO heavily injured, some marines laughed on LOOC and some said that it was yourself that planted the claymore.
First of all you did attacked me and other marines as such the SO with a chair, that is a weapon that can injury, not sure if it count as a lethal weapon, and you were making issues with the nonsense mini req at the fob and it was totally justified to get you out of there, since you were literally interrupting and potentially harming the OP.
It is a MRP server, RP is important but when the RP gets in the way of winning the operation since as a mini req at the FOB, ofcourse it is not accepted by anyone, that why you won’t see marines or xenos stopping midfight to RP, and such action as a mini req, only gets in the way of everyone and it is not needed in anyway besides trying to grief or “RP”.

I was the MP that released you that round and I will be 100 percent honest. I have been playing MP for a week or so and whenever they are in round, they usually blatantly grief then report people for responding against them. They have recently been doing the whole CT Tent schtick and deploying first drop before fob is built. Then proceeds to act like their tent is private and only they are allowed inside and then proceeds to assault people who enter.

I Handed you over to the CMP because you were so infuriating to deal with when everything I say results in you ML lawyering and I knew for a fact you would PR me for something stupid and I really didn’t want to deal with you. You have shown me over my time while playing MP that you consistently act in bad faith towards other players then proceed to report them once they had enough of your shit.

I was told in round at least 15 times that you were causing issues at FOB and since the other MPs were occupied with other things that I don’t agree with, the marines proceeded to detain you and stop you from causing anymore issues. If you want to report someone for griefing you should report yourself, your behavior is clearly problematic.

When I got to the Almayer, I found the MPs torturing an MT in the interrogation cell.

As I informed you in PMs, I was handling the situation ICly.

That incident was handled by me, and considering it all happened IC, I can share how it resulted. 3 MPs were arrested for various crimes and demoted, CMP included. It is absolutely unacceptable for MPs to torture prisoners and admin intervention is necessary in most cases. However, I saw an opportunity to roleplay and even though what they were doing was wrong, I liked the roleplay of the MPs and the prisoner, so I thought that this incident should end in an IC way.

I never interacted with the people reported, I handled the MP situation only.

However, as LTNTS mentioned above, that was a staff action nonetheless and you can file a staff report for that part of this report!

Hello everyone involved in this ticket,

I have spent the last two hours pooling through what essentially amounted to seven different peoples’ entire set of logs for the round (some of the people involved in this report are not actually targets of accusation). I was not sure exactly how I wanted to approach addressing each of these accusations, but ultimately found the best way to do it comprehensively without being redundant was to group the cases. Therefore, this specific player report will be approved and denied based on collections of accusations.

For the accusation of Rule 10: Lethal Force | Escalation was followed as per the rules. Each incident followed our escalation policy of [General Melee → Dangerous Melee] with the only exception being Darius Bould firing his shotgun at you. He is not a subject of this report, did not hit you with the shot, and claims it was an accident; based on the way the fight transpired I’m inclined to believe it was an accident.

For the accusation of Rule 4: No Griefing | While you may think their grounds for removing your installation was not justified, they had a valid roleplay reason. They were not just trying to cause you grief or annoyance, they wanted quick access to the materials they felt you were unduly restricting.

For the accusation of Rule 11: Marine Law | Eka ‘Madhatter’ Amise ordered your arrest because they believed you were responsible for the explosive at the FOB. However, while you did plant the claymore, one planting a claymore that is later tread on by an enemy, causing harm to allies, is not sufficient grounds to be charged with “assault with a deadly weapon,” as it requires ill intent. Clearly you did not intend to have a lesser drone tread on a claymore while you were being held down on top of it.

For the accusation of Rule 3: Community Expectations | The r-slur was not considered a slur at the time of its usage, although it is now.

Other claims and accusations were handled by other staff members throughout the round.

Conclusion:
While I personally like the the groundside requisitions idea, and believe it is a neat concept that promotes higher roleplay, it is important to be conscious of the various reasons people play on this server. There was clear resistance to your method of play, and although it may have offered elevated roleplay, other players’ resistance to it is not against the rules. This was, in many ways, an in-character issue that was resolved through in-character resistance. While the overwhelming accusations of this case are being denied, Eka ‘Madhatter’ Amise will be getting a note for their malicious compliance.
