I’ve tried to use em but they simply suck. They are hard to hit and have small AOE and dogshit damage. Either increase the AOE, buff the damage or give us more M40s instead.

They seem like they should be an exclusive HvH thing, because of all the shrapnel they can produce. They just don’t fit in generally.

The airburst incindiary are pretty nice with no warning and 50% of the fire radius.
The shrapnel ones are really difficult to master.
Go to REQ and get a few packs of Shrapnel airburst, and you’ll learn how to use them. They’re difficult to use and misunderstood. Because no one ever takes airburst, you can likely take the whole lot from REQ.
I say this as the “GL Spec we got at home” who likes to deploy with 30 nades on 624 as RFN.
If you try them out a bit more, and use them a few rounds, let me know if you figured out how to use them. A bit of an acquired taste.

ya they are not the best but the INC ones can be quite dope if you know how to use them.

Airburst are great for pushes using the M79 till you forget about those reflective walls, I’ve killed at least a few marines that way with both shrapnel and incendiary. Honesty the biggest buff you could give airbust and all those special nades is to let me hack the weird safety thing out.

that could be a cool way to make them more used.
Just make them “impact” grenades so you can throw them by hand-if that’s what you were saying.

I mean, the HE just kinda sucks. In general the idea of “trowable claymore” is pretty neat. Being able to shot a nade that only damages in one direction can be incredibly usefull in crammed figths.
Like, the incen airburst are VERY usefull. Being able to basicly use a ranged flamer, that has IFF, is just very powerfull. Like imagine fireballs with IFF [like a pyro spec sidegrate? (: ], how strong they would be. Airburst incen are basicly that.
Just, you know, give the OT airburst casings. Do it. It would make them SOOO much better.

Airburst is great.
Problem is, the first time you go down the airburst grenades become useless because someone runs off with your M79 or it is in xeno territory. Whereas with the M40s, they’re still useful because you can throw them. So I think in every regard the airburst are just a waste of time to carry.
M41A MK 2 comes with a 3 shot GL.
