Description of the incident:

After the lifeboat left the almayer I saw the green xeno, so after some lines I went a opened fire on it. I then was shoved around so I ceased fire in a effort to not damage other marine players, I was then shot to death by apone. a bit after my death the accountment was made. the charges were insanity and refusal to follow orders.

Ok, I’ll detail out what happened from my perspective leading up to your BE in the Lifeboat.

Shortly before hijack began I authorized Greenos to be made, and in the process of making them the dropship took off from the LZ. The researcher took the hugged monkey to the lifeboats where I then told them to keep it in the northern boat and to not allow anyone to endanger it or approach.

What felt like maybe 3-4 minutes later the researcher runs to me in a panic and tells me that marines are trying to kill the infected monkey, you were among these marines from everything I could gather. At this point I shouted for everyone to leave the monkey and researcher alone, as I authorized the experiment (that would be your warning to not shoot the monkey and whatever came out of it).

Shortly after that we moved to the Southern Lifeboat and evac’d off of the Almayer, by which point the Larva had bursted and evolved into a drone. This drone was surrounded by maybe 4 or 5 people (some of which were wounded and unarmored) and you opened fire on it with no regard for the people you may very will shoot and kill in the crossfire. You were then gunned down by the marines next to you, not just Apone from what I saw, and I walked up to finish the job. Not only because you actively disobeyed my order to leave the Greeno alone but because you were endangering the lives of everyone in a crowded lifeboat by opening fire.

To clarify, an insanity BE is an LRP BE. We can’t exactly type “Simon McShain was battlefield executed for LRP Behavior.”

I was on the Lifeboat as well, and if memory serves me correctly, the Major had made several announcements with the tablet while on the lifeboat to not shoot the greenos. I opened fire open the Warden after they shot the Greenos, as they were endangering everyone in the lifeboat (MsLoveShacker asked me why afterwards, and I was not noted or punished for this) and then the Major subsequently BEd them. I just wanted to give the information I had.

SEA from that round. Before the events of hijack with other round issues such as no ship comms I did walk into CIC to report in person to the CO about the lack of shipside comms and to request access for a ticket to the ARES core. When I was in CIC I walked into the CO and a researcher talk about making our own hive and the CO giving the go ahead to make our hive. I cant recall how many times the CO announced it but I for one do recall the CO saying no harm is to come the monkey the researchers brought to lifeboats during hijack more then once iirc. After the we were all well most of us on the south lifeboat the monkey bursted and the green larva soon also evolved into drone and its about then the MW said something then whipped out his gun and started shooting the green zeno while he was surrounded by like 3-5 marines. Thats Apone shot the MW and right after the CO BE them and made the announcement about the BE.

With that out of the way, in terms of warning offered by the CO, comms were not functional but a single verbal warning was given while the Warden was in earshot, note: not over radio or announcement:

Note: The Warden was not involved in the shooting or attack of the monkey pre-burst.

After looking at the logs, Council has arbitrated that the CO, Calhoun, in this instance, did not violate Code of Conduct and had a perfectly legitimate reason to issue a BE.

Calhoun issued a valid order to leave the corrupted Xenos alone. You deliberately ignored that order, brandishing a weapon in a crowded area and opening fire on the corrupted Drone in question. Not only was this violating an order, it was also putting the lives of everyone in the line of fire at risk. The execution was deserved.

Report denied - no action will be taken against Calhoun.
